The Toyota Highlander is a car that I recently bought just last year mainly for the sake of traveling to and from work. I love how it can fit a large group of people and make it feel roomy at the same time so my friends would pick my car as the car of choice for an outing. There's no interior rattle of any sort, and the car moves smoothly and fast. The brakes have no problems, and the Highlander can stop quickly without any issues. The navigational system within the car could use some work, since I find it difficult to use. The GPS on it is especially difficult, so I usually resort to my phone GPS on long-distance travel. The fact that the car has a built-in camera in the back is very handy when backing out of a parking spot.
Story
I was once at a shopping center parking lot, and after I finished up buying some medication for a friend, I looked for my car. I usually rely on the license plate to verify which car is mine but this was a fairly new car, so I don't have the plate memorized. I opened up the driver door and immediately was face to face with two boys in the backseat, one of whom was in a booster seat. I quickly ... (more)
Pros
The Bluetooth stereo doesn't require a plug in for the phone in order to play music. The roomy atmosphere and the size even allows for the claustrophobic some breathing room. The back seat also retracts downward, allowing space for storing equipment, and for the restaurant business, it's necessary for a car to be able to store a lot.
Cons
The speed can sometimes be too fast, but it won't feel that way due to the smoothness of the car. The built-in navigation system could also be tweaked to allow for easier accessing. The car also feels like it uses fuel much faster than other cars.

I love my car! It drives very smooth and feels more like a luxury type car. I love that it has three rows and yet isn’t too huge. It’s a perfect size car for a family of five. I like that the back row can split with half folded down for more trunk space. I use this feature all the time when carrying larger items. I also like the way the car looks. It feels stylish and a great looking mom car! It also comes with great safety features like automatic braking when I get too close to another car.
Story
We were able to fit a table my dad built for us in the back seat barely! We had to pick it up three hours away and drive all the way back with it. I was so nervous it wouldn’t fit. It took up the entire back portion of the car, with only a half inch to spare. It meant a lot that my dad made this custom table for us and I would have been devastated it we couldn’t have brought it home. But my Hi... (more)
Pros
Safety features like brake sensor. Stylish looks good. Spacious interior. Great gas mileage for an SUV. Good trunk space. Third back row. Back row splits to fold down. Good storage compartments. Smooth ride. Great handling. Comes with free oil changes. Handles well in rain. Good sound system. Touch screen for radio.
Cons
Interior dirties easily. Third row is tight. Can’t sync up voice text. No roof racks. Gas light comes on too late. Screeching sound when turning. Priced a little high. Doesn’t pick up speed quickly. Not environmentally friendly. Seat belt detector annoying. No air in third row. Expensive replacement parts. Not great audio. Not great windshield wipers.
