The 2010 Toyota Highlander comfortably seats seven. We have had three car seats and four adults in ours and were all comfortable and safe in our seats. The bench seat is surprisingly comfortable as well, not just a flat seat, high head rests and some contour to the seating. The middle row has the option of a removable middle seat and adding armrests to become captains chairs. Heated front seats and air conditioning vents in the front and back add to the comfort of the vehicle, as well as rear temperature controls. Knowing my family is safe in this SUV with full side curtain airbags, in addition to regular front airbags, adds to the peace of mind of having my family travel in the vehicle. The reliability of a Toyota also adds to the comfort and value. We've had no issues and maintain re... (more)
Story
Our family loves driving to the river to go fishing with the sunroof open and music playing. Many happy memories made as a family in our Highlander.
Pros
Comfort, safety, reliability, roomy, easy to drive, and good resale value.
Cons
Gas mileage (18/22) is acceptable but not great.

2010 Toyota Highlander - I love this car and enjoy driving it. It is simple but proves itself on the road. I am short and sitting up high in a nice SUV really gives me confidence when driving.

The car has excellent safety features that act as great as a mother. The trunk will not close if the window connected to it is open, therefore a child cannot exit the vehicle upon take off. Overall, quality of the car is good, no rattles, music can be adjusted for the front, middle, or back of the car.
Story
I do all of the grocery shopping for my household. I remember I had just gotten a lot of groceries and had my two children with me. Another mom was watching me and offered to help and I refused. She saw me with a kid on one hip, groceries in the other hand, and my older child helping alongside me. My older child merely pushed the button for the trunk (without it she wouldn't be able to help me... (more)
Pros
The seats are fully adjustable including lumbar support for the driver. The middle seats roll forward for easier access to third row. Trunk is very spacious, and more room is accessible when the middle row is collapsed. The automatic air conditioning quickly brings a hot car to an ideal temperature, and vice versa. The rear view camera helps see if there are any kids in an area I would otherwise be unable to see upon backing up. I'm a mother so the automatic trunk is very helpful when lugging around two children and groceries!
Cons
The car is high and wheels are quite big, therefore it has a high tipping probability if you turn too sharply. The response to the car when turning the steering wheel is much sharper than I expected (it's not smooth, but you get used to it).
