The interior of the car is functional and high quality. Using the hands-free calling is simple. The gas mileage average is in the lower 20's with over 65,000 miles on the vehicle. The car is well built and the ride is smooth. The AWD works well in the winter tackling slippery, steep hills without problems. We were able to pull an evasive maneuver to avoid a car sliding head on out of control on icy roads without the vehicle sliding out of control. As a hockey mom I run into some trouble with the trunk space. Hauling two large equipment bags (including one goalie) takes up most of the back making it hard for luggage, coolers or other items you may need to take out of town. Also going to the cabin it is difficult to fit our luggage, 2 adults, 2 kids and our three dogs in the vehicle.
Story
Feeling safe enough to drive in winter conditions to take my children to see some pretty amazing sights on some country roads. They were amazed with the pine trees all covered in snow bending down to almost touch the road. They could see out the back window, the front window and the large sun roof that goes all the way back behind their seats.
Pros
Fuel economy. Drivability in poor road conditions. Quality of parts used. Starts right up in cold weather. You can't lock your keys in the car. Spacious 2nd row seating with heated seats.
Cons
Limited room behind the 3rd row seat. Trunk space doesn't fit our sports equipment well (1 regular hockey bag, goalie bag and 2 sets of golf clubs for example when the kids are in summer activities). Auto start isn't an option you can add factory. Small amount of leg room for 3rd row passengers.

2014 Toyota Highlander - It is very nice and very quiet.

It has a very great audio. The bad part is the windows are much smaller and are higher, so it is kind of difficult to look at both left and right lane marking in parking lots to center your car. While RAV4 has an extra view in the left and right door rear view mirror, Highlander has only one rear view in each mirror. Too much blind spots and not enough outside views.
Story
So I traveled to visit friends for a dinner party. Unfortunately, the food spilled, and we couldn't have to taste the meal. So I told my friend to take the family to a restaurant I know. We used my Highlander and my friend's vehicle. We really enjoyed the speed, and after the meal, everyone wanted to be in my Highlander.
Pros
Overall, this is an outstanding, easy-to-use vehicle that will satisfy most customers, especially those that place a premium on reliability, ease of maintenance and resale value.
Cons
It has too many blind spots and not enough outside views. It doesn't have smooth transmission as it should be. I find the amber airbag light, which is constantly on high on the dash unnecessary irritating.
