The interior of the car is functional and high quality. Using the hands-free calling is simple. The gas mileage average is in the lower 20's with over 65,000 miles on the vehicle. The car is well built and the ride is smooth. The AWD works well in the winter tackling slippery, steep hills without problems. We were able to pull an evasive maneuver to avoid a car sliding head on out of control on icy roads without the vehicle sliding out of control. As a hockey mom I run into some trouble with the trunk space. Hauling two large equipment bags (including one goalie) takes up most of the back making it hard for luggage, coolers or other items you may need to take out of town. Also going to the cabin it is difficult to fit our luggage, 2 adults, 2 kids and our three dogs in the vehicle.
Story
Feeling safe enough to drive in winter conditions to take my children to see some pretty amazing sights on some country roads. They were amazed with the pine trees all covered in snow bending down to almost touch the road. They could see out the back window, the front window and the large sun roof that goes all the way back behind their seats.
Pros
Fuel economy. Drivability in poor road conditions. Quality of parts used. Starts right up in cold weather. You can't lock your keys in the car. Spacious 2nd row seating with heated seats.
Cons
Limited room behind the 3rd row seat. Trunk space doesn't fit our sports equipment well (1 regular hockey bag, goalie bag and 2 sets of golf clubs for example when the kids are in summer activities). Auto start isn't an option you can add factory. Small amount of leg room for 3rd row passengers.

2014 Toyota Highlander - The car is very reliable.

The vehicle is very large but handles very well. It is a reliable vehicle. The truck can handle different types of terrain with ease. Driving through the rain is very easy, and the car is controllable. Driving through the snow with the truck is also very easy and comfortable once you get the hang of driving with the truck.
Story
Driving through the snow and having complete control. My previous sedan couldn't handle snow as well, so it was really enjoyable to just drive and move out of my parking spaces without having to floor the gas pedal.
Pros
There was a lot of space in the vehicle for groceries and passengers. The vehicle also came with a built-in DVD player which is convenient for long road trips. The handling of the car is extremely reliable and handles different weather conditions with ease.
Cons
The truck ended up costing more money. The mileage is also another reason I could dislike the truck. I would constantly be filling up the truck more than I did my previous sedan. The biggest con with the truck is that it takes up more space. Finding parking spaces in some areas was very difficult. A lot of the time, when going to certain neighborhoods, I would have to rent a spot in a parking lot.
