Sufficient and reliable.
It is a pretty decent SUV all around. It is a sturdy and well-built car. The structure of the car is great, and there is no rust on it, which is magical for its age and the environment that it has been in, which is a wet and salty one. I like that it look more advanced than the RAV 4s before this one having the experience of owning an older model than this one previously.

We bought this car back in 2003 at a discount because it had a little scratch.
It has served us well for these last 16 years. We have only had to make minor fixes and maintenance to the car. It is getting old now. And we have a little over 100,000 miles on it. But it starts every time and runs relatively smooth. And this is rare. Most cars will not go 100,000 miles without major repairs. We live in a climate where the sea air does a number on cars. So the Rav 4 looks a little worn. But we recently brought it in to have it checked for problems. We had minor repairs that needed to be done which would have cost about $2000. But the car will run fine without these repairs. A reliable dependable car. It might not have all the features of current vehicles, but it gets us where we need to go. Without fail.
