My vehicle was a certified pre-owned vehicle when I first saw it, and the interior looked pretty good from the look. Wasn't sure how it was going to turn out since I've never driven a SUV before, and this was my first time purchasing an automobile as costly as this. Gave it a few test drives to see how the engine is doing since it had been sitting there for about a month and was about to get auctioned off online. Feeling pretty satisfied, not too much rumbling, loud sounds, or uncomfortable bumps, so I went ahead and made a deal with the dealer. Checked out the interior design, it was pretty good. Leather seats were still attached with no rips or stain at all, and all the electronic equipment was minimally scratched, and the miles were low considering it was driven for four years befor... Story
Was pretty uncomfortable using the vehicle in the first place, since everything was different from my past vehicle. Honestly, I didn't know how to start the car and turn on the A/C when I first obtained it.
Pros
Engine is definitely one of the top things on its pro list. Very powerful even with high hills and bumpy surfaces. Mileage was good standing at only about 58,000 for four years, so it wasn’t an overdriven vehicle. Seats were very comfortable with added features like warming up or cooling down covering with black leather giving it an aesthetic feel. Safety features were all in perfect condition even more than my past car. Sensitive side mirror, back-up cameras, and warning when backing up were very helpful while driving this car. Bluetooth connection, maps, apps, and internet service all a... (more)
Cons
The sound of the engine is a little loud for my taste in this vehicle. Maybe it’s just me not getting used to driving a SUV before but definitely not one of its strong point. There are too many features in the car. It’s a weird thing to complain about, but when there are too much additions to the car that it’s so hard to find the basic function, then there’s definitely some improvement needing to be done. Half of the add-ons I don’t even use 90% of the time. Since the car’s color is white, it can be a little bit pricey to clean it during rain season or when driving through a dirty area. Le... (more)

I found the car to be reliable and fuel efficient. My husband and I used this car to move from MA to FL and did the drive up and down the coast several times. There is a deceivingly large amount of space in the back, we were able to fit all of our major belongings in the back on the first trip down. The car is excellent on fuel efficiency too, it was getting up to 28 mpg even with it full of our stuff. We've had no major problems with the car and recently rolled over to 100,000 miles on it. We do currently have a problem with the transmission, it shifts strangely from 2nd to 3rd gear. Did a transmission flush which has helped, but it is still having some problems. We were told that the transmission is one piece so you can't replace just one part of it. If it persists, we're looking at ... (more)
Story
We like to charge Bird and Lime scooters for extra spending money. The RAV4 makes it very easy to load lots of scooters in the back. This one time, we were able to snag 15 of the large Lime scooters and fit them all in the back of the car with some careful maneuvering. It blew our mind and brought us some great extra money that day.
Pros
The car is much roomier than it looks. We've packed it full of so much junk over the years, it was insane just how much we could fit. The fuel efficiency is great for an SUV. For an older car, we were impressed to find a back-up camera and dashboard touchscreen.
Cons
One random problem is that when you put the car into reverse and audio connects to a Bluetooth, you get a "successfully connected to Bluetooth" message that appears on the rearview cam. It blocks most of the screen and you have to wait until it disappears to safely use the cam. We experienced transmission problems around the 100k mileage mark and we've gone through quite a few tires. It can be hard to see curbs in this car.
