I was a long time Avalon owner and just traded in my hybrid Avalon for a RAV4 Hybrid. I love my RAV4 Hybrid Limited. It's sporty, compact SUV exterior makes it every easy to handle and take anywhere. The inside is packed full of top-of-the-line safety features, and tons of convenience features such as reclining rear seats and cup holders that accommodate large drinks. All of this plus more, and Toyota's hybrid technology makes this a winner for me.
Story
The hybrid motor is so quiet! Many times I've had others in the car, ready to pull out and they are surprised to know the ignition switch had been turned on.
Pros
The safety package is amazing. The Hybrid Limited comes with a rear camera, a birds-eye view camera with perimeter scan, lane assist, and other high tech safety features. The birds-eye camera allows you to see the car from a 360 perspective on your dash navigation system to help you squeeze into tight spots or parallel park. The parking assistance feature is also fantastic. The RAV also handles very well and has a very smooth, stable ride which feels more like my Avalon than I thought it would. The interior is roomier than it appears from first glance; I can comfortably fit five adult... (more)
Cons
I miss having a digital speedometer like my 2011 and 2013 Avalon. There's been some issue with Bluetooth and the navigation system that Toyota is having a hard time addressing with this model. The Limited Hybrid trim does not include a net for the cargo area. For the price, that should be a standard option as it comes with the lower priced hybrid trim.

I leased this vehicle because I was having a total knee replacement, and I felt it would be easier to get in and out of. I was correct. I have no problem with access to the vehicle, either as a passenger or driver. It is a solid vehicle, and I feel very safe when driving it.
Story
I am known at the drive thru of a local fast food restaurant, by a couple of the "window" employees. When I was going through the drive thru last week, one of those employees immediately noticed I had a different vehicle. He said that he liked it and that it was classy. That made me smile.
Pros
This vehicle turns on a dime, meaning that it has an excellent wheelbase. It makes U-turns easier than my previous vehicle, a Toyota Camry. It has a moon roof, which allows for fresh air circulation when the weather cooperates. The electronic console is a great feature. You have any information you need at your fingertips, including your trip mileage, your total vehicle mileage, mileage left before gas runs out, cell phone hook-up, and Sirius radio. Two different outlets are at your fingertips to charge other electronic equipment. The supplied charging cables are a welcome plus. One reache... (more)
Cons
The rear headrests block some vision out the rear window. They have to be moved to the down position to ensure good vision.
