Tampa, FL Driving Tips
For Tampa, I would recommend that you just keep an eye on the signs. GPS is helpful, but sometimes it gets confused, or doesn't tell you where you're at until you have passed it. Tampa's roads can get confusing, especially when it comes to parking. If you're going to drive there, try and familiarize with the city. You don't want to end up in a bad part of town. Also keep an eye out for parking lots. Some will rob you, but others will give you a sweet deal. Always carry cash with you.
Tampa, FL Buying Tips
The best place to buy a car is probably going to be in the city of Brandon. It's on the outskirts of Tampa, and it pretty much has every dealership there is, from Subaru to Jeep. If you're test driving a car, Brandon Is a little easier to ride around and get a feel for the car. Tampa's streets can be a little pact, and can be stressful to drive in at times. Brandon is a smaller city with bigger roads and less traffic. The good thing is that Brandon is VERY close by. It won't be too far out of your Tampa experience. Another option is too look at craigslist. There is a lot of dealers trying to get rid of cars. You might be able to talk them down on a price pretty easily. I would just make sure that you do the proper research in the car.
Favorite driving memory
I would say driving down to channel-side. Tampa is a small, but beautiful city. At night it becomes lively and a lot of fun. You can drive by and see the sights. If a lightning game is going on, the streets our filled with lightning fans. Channel-side has a lot of good restaurants and sights to see. Tampa sits right on the water. So almost anywhere you go you're next to a port or on the water. It adds to the essence of what makes Tampa. With the ports being there you can see a lot of the cruise ships that come out. Tampa is also a place were a lot of movies get shot. Some of the reminisce of movie sets still remain here. They are a sight to be seen
Favorite road
Bruce B Downs. This road is near USF. Its largely developed and has a lot of college students. There are all sorts of things to discover and find. You can be into cars and see amazing car shows, Or you could be a game card nerd and go play Magic the gathering. Bruce B Downs caters to everyone. I have yet to hear anybody say that they get bored there too. If you're a movie buff, They have a beautiful restaurant and movie scene, Perfect place to go to on a date. USF itself is something to behold. The College holds cultural festivals and social gatherings of all kind. They're mainly held at the sun dome, which is on the main road. For Penny Pinchers, Bruce B Downs has one of the largest flea markets in the state. People sell things from regular household items, to homemade food. Even if you don't want to buy anything, It's still a fun place to go and wander around.

Tampa, FL Driving Tips
One tip I would give drivers in this city is to be very careful when driving on the highway as well as local roads. There is a lot of accidents due to careless mistakes, people texting, not paying attention, loud music, etc. It is important to drive according to the speed limit but not slower nor faster than the limit. The highway is very dangerous and there are people from all over who drives carelessly.
Tampa, FL Buying Tips
I suggest that someone who is purchasing a car do a lot of research before they buy the car. It is vital to know everything about the car you want before you regret buying something that you are not going to be happy driving long term. I cannot suggest a location or dealership, because it depends greatly on the individual and what they are looking for. I bought my car at Toyota dealership in Sarasota and I have been happy since. Just know what you want and the rest will be easy.
Favorite driving memory
My favorite memory of driving in Tampa, is always driving over the Sunshine Skyway Bridge when visiting St. Petersburg or Sarasota. The bridge overlooks the bay and has such a peaceful and beautiful view that is a luxury to see. Driving on the bridge during the sunset is one of the most amazing views I've ever seen. Sometimes we locals tend to take these things for granted, but it reminds me that I should feel lucky to experience such a beautiful thing.
Favorite road
Highway 275.. Highway 275 is by far my favorite route to drive because I am someone who enjoys driving on the highway. Tampa is a really busy city and the traffic is by far the most terrible. However, the highway is not as restricted and slow as on the roads. I like to drive and driving on the highway is a freeing feeling for me.
