The dodge neon has been my car throughout high school and college. It is very fuel efficient, with mine getting around 32 mpg for my usual driving. I am a taller guy at 6'4" and it has very comfortable seating for me to be able to access all of the driving features and not feel cramped at all. The two most eye catching aspects of the neon for me were the sunroof and spoiler. I like to drive with the windows down and sunroof up all of the time in the summer. The spoiler also gives it a sporty feel when it really isn't a sports car at all. I felt like I could drive it as a casual car as well as polish it up to use for date nights and nicer events. The interior is very easy to clean as the front seats slide all the way forward and back while the rear seat-backs fold down for access to the... (more)
Story
When I first got the car I told a girl I was giving a ride to be careful drinking a Dr. Pepper in the front seat and of course she opens it up and it explodes all over!
Pros
The biggest pros about the Dodge Neon were by far its sporty body, excellent gas mileage, and spaciousness. The body of the neon has a spoiler, fog lights, sunroof, and back window tint. These are very classy looking and allowed the car to be driven casually as well as to classier events. I have the body color in black which helps hide any dust or dirt it may accumulate. Moving to the driving of the Neon you can't help but mention it's amazing efficiency. Most of my usual driving resulted in about 32mpg. That is amazing for saving on gas. Despite the small body and efficiency the Neon cert... (more)
Cons
Throughout my experience driving the Dodge Neon I came across problems here and there. Pretty soon after I bought the car the passenger front power window lost the ability to be put up with the passenger switch. The driver side switch still puts it up, but having to control it for the passenger is not the best situation to be in. Other issues I have had with the drive train is a broken transmission line in the radiator which had to be fully replaced. I had a tie rod on the right front tire give out while in a parking lot which also had to be replaced. Recently the check engine light has co... (more)

I really loved the gas mileage on the car. the dodge neon is a very small car and it used very little gas. the car handled very well and it was easy to fit in tight spaces and to park nicely. the speaker system was perfect and came with the standard radio which never had any problems. the tires were standard and found in stock easily everywhere. the car was actually very spacious for a small car. my kids had plenty of room in the backseat and in the passenger side as well. the only problem I ever had with the car was the starter going out 5 years after I bought it. after replacing this I drove it for 8 more years without any problems. the car drove and handled smoothly. for a budget car it was like the car that refused to die, it never broke down and never gave me any trouble. I would ... (more)
Story
I drove this car from Texas to New York City to visit my son there. it was a great ride and I never had one problem with the car. It was a scenic rode trip and I felt like I really bonded with my car after spending so much time in it! this really sealed the deal and I fell in love with my Neon.
Pros
This little car handles great. It never had any major problems like engine or radiator and just kept going and going like the energizer bunny. Plenty of room and great gas mileage also. Easy to maintain and take care of. The most reliable car I have ever had even driving it long distances.
Cons
The power windows on the passenger side went out and it was not going to be worth the cost to get it fixed. The starter also ran out and I had to have it replaced. Other than that no major troubles or concerns.
