I fell in love with this car as soon as I saw it. I was actively looking for just this model and found it. I loved everything about it at the time and I still have it a love it. However, it is old now, and things are starting to need replaced and repaired, so I have to make a decision weather to put extra money into it or not. I have recently put in some money that I think is well worth it, although the car is 18 yrs. Old! It still runs very smooth and never strands me.
Historia
I just loved driving this car and still do. I feel rich and powerful when I'm in my car, even today, as old as it is. When you love a car, you just feel good in it.
A Favor
I loved the way it looked mostly. I love that it is a Toyota, first of all. Second, it is a low car, like a sports car, which is what I was looking for at the time. It had all the things I wanted and it has not let me down.
En Contra
It sits very low to the ground, and I had another Celica years ago that gave me problems with that feature. The bottom of the car started to drop, like the whole chassis, right about the time I traded it in.

The Celica that I owned has been a great first car. I have had it in my ownership for about 5 years now and have never had a critical engine failure. However, it has recently become a bit of a money pit as a lot of the undercarriage components have degraded and are continually breaking. Though it is becoming more of a hassle, I blame the weather(and salt use) in my area for the poor condition of the undercarriage and think the build quality of the car is still great.
Historia
I have always loved driving around the country with all of the windows wide open during cool summer nice and listening to the radio loudly.
A Favor
It was very style, it hasn't had any severe issues in my experiences, it's sporty, has great performance.
En Contra
The stock interior colors are pretty dull(light gray), the car is beginning to require numerous repairs at a lifespan of about 15 years.

I owned this vehicle for about 2 years. It was a solid performer from day one. I bought it used in 2013 with about 180,000 miles on it with a rebuilt engine. Paid all at once in cash to the previous owner. I will say that you even with that many miles on it, it still ran great. I put about another 100,000 miles on it for the two years I owned it. The car itself was very low to the ground which gave it amazing handling. That baby could take turns without even barely slowing down. Had excellent acceleration for a car with almost 200,000 miles. It was a 4cylinder 5 speed manual transmission. Very cost effective on gas and still had power when needed. I did a lot of work under the hood as Toyotas are great cars to modify. Not because of break downs but just to sup it up even more so to spe... (more)
Historia
I loved to downshift when people would ride my tailgate, nothing like looking at the confused look on people face when the car would rapidly decelerate and no brake lights, that teaches them every time. And the Celica is a great car for a manual transmission.
A Favor
Excellent on gas without loss of power. It came pretty low to the ground stock without any modifications and the wheel size play was a great factor. I ended up putting some pretty big tires on it and still had full turn radius without modifying the wheel wells. Also that car is built extremely sturdy and could take a beating for a compact car which is rare. Still ran excellent with over 200,000 miles and I firmly believe I could have gotten at least 350,000 miles out of it if it were not for the accident.
En Contra
The only negative I would say is the electrical harness for the radio had to be rewired but that is merely because of the age of the car, pretty sure that would happen with any automobile.
