I originally bought this car after totaling my 2005 Toyota Prius. I absolutely loved that vehicle, mainly because the gas mileage was outstanding. I was skeptical about the gas mileage being as good in this vehicle, because it seemed to run more so on gas than it did with the battery, but I can say that my gas expenses are roughly the same in this vehicle. In good weather conditions, this vehicle handles very nicely, but when it rains or is very windy, things can get a little rough. Hydroplaning is something I have experienced more often in this car, even if it is just sprinkling, than I have in any of the other vehicles that I have owned. I was born and raised in Florida, so driving in the rain was something I never used to think twice about, but I have had to be very cautious about it in this vehicle. I have also found that the vehicle can be very susceptible to high winds. There are a lot of bridges where I am from, so getting whipped around when you're at the top of a bridge isn't the most fun thing.
