I bought it from a friend for $850. It's a tough, durable truck that has several gears and it good in all terrains. I like its large bed, which can carry large amounts of heavy material whenever I need to transport furniture somewhere. One thing I dislike it that the weight is front-loaded, making it susceptible to skidding on rainy days if your tires don't have a lot of traction.
Story
On a rainy day, while making a turn onto a somewhat busy street, my tires in the back lost traction and I went fishtailing down the street for about 10 seconds. I reduced speed and got control of the vehicle and I was fine. It certainly was a memorable story.
Pros
I like its durability. The truck has almost 200,000 miles on it and the engine doesn't show an signs of serious wear and tear. I have had work on it previously, but it wasn't central to the engine, and a little work is a small price to pay for a truck that doesn't look like it'll quit anytime soon.
Cons
There were some elements of the repair, however, that caused me to dislike the build of the truck. Apparently the way the vehicle is put together makes some types of repairs difficult to perform without moving around other elements under the hood. For example, a leaky oil gasket required the entire engine of the car to be removed and put back in place, making a $100 repair into one costing near $1000 of labor. If you're looking for a beater car that will get you from point A to B, this is your car, but you should be aware that it isn't luxurious by any means.

1994 GMC Sierra 1500 - This truck has been a great one for me.

Can't say enough about the 6.5 motor and its capability to work as hard as I need it to. High-quality truck in my book. I'd have four more if I could find them in as good as shape as mine. The white and chrome exterior makes it look streamline. The deep blue interior adds depth and looks amazing. From the exterior, with it's quality white paint job; to the flawless blue interior. The motor itself has well over 340,000 miles and still works just as strong as if it were new. It's never failed me with anything I've had to hook it to haul.
Story
Most memorable would be pulling logs out to a clearing so they could be loaded. The truck never strained a bit. Anything we chained to it, it pulled without hesitation.
Pros
The motor without a doubt. It has the 6.5 turbo diesel Detroit engine. For a half ton truck, it handles like a three quarter ton. Just the right height. Has the short bed which in my opinion makes towing easier, but I can still put things in the bed. I love the paint job! Does amazing on fuel! I'm talking about 20, sometimes 22 miles per gallon.
Cons
Of course being an older truck, it had the standard cassette tape deck stereo. It's not a heavier duty truck. There aren't many out there built as nice as this truck.
