2007 GMC Sierra 1500 - It is ok but not made as well as the 2005 model.

I like the color. It is black and really shines when clean. I had another one that was a 2005 but there was a wreck and it was not repairable. The 2005 was made better and had no fender flairs. It looked better that way and the metal was made better. We had no problems with electronics of the truck also. The 2007 that I replaced it with has problems with perceived tire pressure monitor, alarms going off. And the right front door does not lock from the central control or from the passenger control. It has to be done manually every time which is a pain with bucket seats. You can't just scoot across. We have to carry an implement like an umbrella at all times to reach across manually and unlock the door. Alarms will also go off with no notice and no way to turn it off except to put the ke... Pros
It is pretty when clean but I don't like the fender flairs. They should have kept it like the 2005. I think the radio and cd player work good so far. I think it has a Bose system and it seems to sound nice. I don't listen to it any more because I am getting older now.
Cons
Alarms don't work, passenger door lock does not lock correctly, tire pressure monitor does not work, bad fuel economy, driver side electronic controls don't work and fender flairs don't work well.

I like this truck because it is roomy enough for a family without being a four-door vehicle. The truck has rarely had any mechanical issues and is very reliable. It is visually appealing as well, a very nice looking truck when it is shined up and polished! The truck also is great for towing, such as our boat or jet skis; there is a lot of power in the vehicle that can easily tow the loads. Overall, a great truck for the price.
Story
Travelling with my daughter is always exciting and she has helped create many funny memories in this truck. We have a great photo of her sticking her head out the drivers side window with our new house being built in the background. It is a memory photo that we will always have and our truck was in it!
Pros
My favorite things about this truck include the large bed in back for storing anything that you can imagine, from strollers to pieces of art - there is a lot of room to pack things in! Also, I love that we have had hardly any mechanical issues with truck - it is very dependable and I love knowing that it will run great every time I drive it. There is enough leg room in back for our passengers, even though the truck is not a four door vehicle. It makes long trips very comfortable anywhere you sit in the truck.
Cons
I don't really like that it is a taller truck and I really have to hold onto something to get up into the seat. I am a shorter person so I have to haul myself in and, being pregnant, this is quite an adventure sometimes! Besides that I really love the truck!
