The build quality of this car is awesome. There aren't any rattles or anything and I have out over 100,000 miles on it. I would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone and everyone I possibly could.
Story
I once took my family to a local river for a picnic type day, using the Honda was awesome because it has built in cup holders in the drop down tailgate perfect for a day out.
Pros
Some of the pros or positive things about this car are that it is amazing on gas. I spend 20 bucks and get over half a tank. That will last me about a weeks worth of time running all over with it. This is an extremely rugged vehicle. I have taken my Honda off-roading and mudding. It has never shown any signs of problems at all. The best quality is that I can fit my kids into it to take them with me whenever I want to go somewhere.
Cons
The only con or problem that I have personally run into with this vehicle is that the power windows motors go bad rather quickly. They quit working randomly and then your window is either stuck up or stuck down.

2001 Honda CR-V - Great small SUV with Honda quality you expect, only exception are suspension issues.

The Honda CR-V is a great small SUV with a four-cylinder engine that both gets great gas mileage and can move quite a bit of stuff. The fit and finish of the interior is very nice. Plastic trim is of high quality and parts like the cup holder and center console feel sturdy and unbreakable. The spare tire/cargo floor in the rear even doubles as a pop-up table that you can use outside of the vehicle. This thing is really great for people who like to camp and go outdoors. It has plenty of room to bring things with you and lots of neat little nooks and places to store small items. I even used it to move over 400 miles away! I put at least 3,200 hundred miles on it during the move, all the while towing a trailer full of stuff. The car's only downfall, in my opinion, is that it's based on t... (more)
Story
I took the CR-V on a week-long camping trip in Florida. I used it to store my food and supplies as well as a camp kitchen during the trip.
Pros
Great running engine with long service like one expects from Honda. Quality interior components that are built to last and stand up to abuse from camping, hauling cargo and, *shudder*, having children. Five-person capacity or two-person and a ton of cargo room in the rear. The center console folds down giving extra space between the front seats if you hauling something long, like PVC pipes or wood. The rear cargo window folds up like the window on a truck-bed topper, but the rear cargo doors opens sideways, giving you great access to the rear cargo area and also allows you to hang things o... Cons
Interference engine. If the timing belt goes so does the valve train. The suspension is underwhelming for this size vehicle. The vehicle can handle lots of load, and the small engine is actually capable of pulling quite a bit of weight up a surprising grade, but the suspension balks at the idea and will quickly let you know it's displeased with squeaks and groans as the bushings wear under stress. It seems like the bushings were only built to withstand the weight of the vehicle, and any additional load is above their design limits. Really disappointed in this aspect, as the suspension is n...
