I bought a used 6 year old 2012 Honda CR-V. It has a GPS navigation system, back up camera, heated leather seats, and all the bells and whistles I never got with my previous car, the 2008 Honda Civic. I like how it has more space, but it doesn't feel like a bigger car. I am small in stature, so I need more space in my car for my new growing family, but I didn't want to turn into a mini-van mom just yet! The back seats lay flat for extended trunk space, if needed, so it is versatile for every kind of use. I don't like how fast it heats up in the car during the summer because of the black leather seats, and it takes a while for the A/C to hit the back of the car. For a pre-owned car, the quality remained like new besides a couple cosmetic damages. The leather needs to be taken care of, a... (more)
Story
We took this car on a lot of late night Sonic runs while I was pregnant. There is nothing cozier than enjoying a late night snack while reclined with the heated seats keeping my butt toasty!
Pros
I have always been a fan of Honda vehicles, so I may be biased. The vehicle is 6 years old and has not had to have any parts replaced, and still rides smoothly. My favorite feature of the vehicle is the heated seats in the front driver and passenger seats. As I mentioned before, I am short and my boyfriend is tall so the automatic drivers seat adjustments help. Not only can you adjust height and distance from the pedal, but you can also adjust the lumbar pressure. I also like the back up camera. The camera offers three different angles, so no more bumper dents! It makes parking and reversi... (more)
Cons
The only thing I am not fond of with this vehicle is the navigation system. It is very slow, and does not have a simple user interface. It can only be used when the car is not in motion, and if you need to use it while the car is moving you have to use voice commands. Most of the time the voice commands do not work. You have to keep clarifying and repeating yourself to get something close to where you need to go. I am not sure how to update the system either, so some destinations are out of date. When you use the map portion of the navigation system, the main street names aren't clearly ma... (more)

2012 Honda CR-V - I liked the car at first, but as a couple of years passed, I noticed the aerodynamics in the car were not right.

The Honda CR-V is a nice vehicle for people who travel a lot. The fuel economy on this vehicle is great. The room and size is nice for even tall people. I liked how it drove on the roads. It was a nice and smooth ride at first. I could even fit a large dog cage in the back with the back seats down. It had plenty of cargo space. I liked the back up camera. It came to be very useful when backing out of a parking space. The radio and electronics all worked great. The seats and carpet all held up quite well. After a couple of years, I noticed that the aerodynamics on the vehicle were not great. If you open just one window, your ears will start to hurt from the pressure inside of the vehicle. In order to fix the pressure, you need to have two windows open at all times. It is not a... (more)
Story
I remember a fun time driving in the fall looking at the leaves as they had changed color. Everyone would enjoying looking out of the windows and complimenting on how nice the trees looked. We would stop to get something to eat, and we would get out takeout. I felt the vehicle was spacious enough for everyone to eat in it. We would sing songs and have a good time. We were able to take our... (more)
Pros
Cargo space, fuel economy, and back up camera.
Cons
Aerodynamics, tires, and blind spot.
