Reliable car for all different lifestyles.
I bought a used 6 year old 2012 Honda CR-V. It has a GPS navigation system, back up camera, heated leather seats, and all the bells and whistles I never got with my previous car, the 2008 Honda Civic. I like how it has more space, but it doesn't feel like a bigger car. I am small in stature, so I need more space in my car for my new growing family, but I didn't want to turn into a mini-van mom just yet! The back seats lay flat for extended trunk space, if needed, so it is versatile for every kind of use. I don't like how fast it heats up in the car during the summer because of the black leather seats, and it takes a while for the A/C to hit the back of the car. For a pre-owned car, the quality remained like new besides a couple cosmetic damages. The leather needs to be taken care of, as a baby car seat can stretch the leather and leave a stretch mark, or indentation, but other than that it's a smooth ride. It feels like it takes a while to accelerate, but you just have to hit the pedal a little harder. It's relatively efficient with gas mileage as well. Personally, I think the 2012 model looks better than the older CR-Vs with the same reliable engine.

I liked the car at first, but as a couple of years passed, I noticed the aerodynamics in the car were not right.
The Honda CR-V is a nice vehicle for people who travel a lot. The fuel economy on this vehicle is great. The room and size is nice for even tall people. I liked how it drove on the roads. It was a nice and smooth ride at first. I could even fit a large dog cage in the back with the back seats down. It had plenty of cargo space. I liked the back up camera. It came to be very useful when backing out of a parking space. The radio and electronics all worked great. The seats and carpet all held up quite well. After a couple of years, I noticed that the aerodynamics on the vehicle were not great. If you open just one window, your ears will start to hurt from the pressure inside of the vehicle. In order to fix the pressure, you need to have two windows open at all times. It is not a great thing if you have small children, because it could hurt their ears worse than an adult. I also noticed the way that the windshield was made that there was a blind spot on each side. It was not good when trying to pull out of a parking lot space or a street and having the blind spot blocking my view. I felt it was a bad safety issue. The tires that were put on by the manufacturer did not seem to last very long. I had an issue with air coming out of one because of a faulty valve. I had to replace all tires because of early wear unlike other brands that last much longer. Overall, it was a nice riding vehicle with some negatives.
