Our 2004 Honda Odyssey has no mechanical issues and has received good reviews from our mechanics when we have taken it in for oil changes and regular maintenance. Overall, the minivan performs well in city, rural, and interstate settings. Our family of seven fits nicely in the van, and we have been able to take long trips two states away regularly in it without complaints. Since we own horses, we have been able to remove the middle seats and store the back bench seat in the rear to make a flat area large enough to haul square bales of hay on a tarp in the vehicle without any difficulty. We regularly can fit three large bags of grain, various children's items, and groceries for our large family in the back storage area without taking up space in the passenger area. We are able to place ... (more)
Story
My five children love going to POPs which is a diner/convenience store on route 66 that has a large variety of sodas ranging from disgusting to fantastic (bacon soda and then, on the other extreme, very creamy orange dreamsicle sodas). We have had a couple trips there that result in wild laughter and great conversations as we drive down the road enjoying our selections. It is an hour drive and... (more)
Pros
We enjoy the dual-sliding power doors on both sides, so we can have a car seat on one side and the older children can enter easily from the other side. There are ample cup holders for everyone. Six in the front, one on each middle captain's seats, and one on each side by the back bench seat. Of the six in the front, four of them are located on a shelf that can be lowered to be out of the way if you need floor access or raised to provide a convenient storage area in reach of the driver and passenger. Two of those cup holders located on the table can be slid towards the middle seats to prov... (more)
Cons
The passenger side window controls currently do not work but this will be an easy fix for my husband once he has the time to fix this. Overall, there is nothing I would say is a major issue for this van.

I love Hondas because they hold up forever. My Odyssey has been great. It has served its purpose of being a 3 row vehicle. I loved that I put the two captain chairs in the middle row next to each other, which allowed the 3rd row to be accessed without kids walking all over the middle seat. I also love how easily the middle row seats come out. Now that I don't have all the kids I have taken one of the seats out for extra storage space. Overall, the van has been fantastic and has lived up to a lot of miles. However, there have been some cons. The transmission has been recalled twice and if you ask me still does not work properly. The airbag has been recalled 3 times. But besides recalls the only other major complaints has been the motor on the wing windows went out at about 5 y... (more)
Story
We have been able to use this van to go back and forth to California several times. Normally we would need to stop a couple times for food, but if you remove one of the middle seats you can put the ice chest in that spot, which is mostly in the shade during that drive. You name one kids to be the server and one to be the beverage person. When someone wants a drink or snack they shout it out... (more)
Pros
My favorite feature in this vehicle is the amount of cup holders. In the front seat alone there are 6, the middle row has two and the back row has 3. I love the power sliding doors. It has prevented kids from getting stuck in the door several times.
Cons
The only windows in the back are wing windows, and those broke early on, so if the weather is nice and the driver has the front window down, the kids in the back are hot because they have no air circulation. The location of the spare tire is a major draw back. If it is just mom on the road with three little ones, she has to pull off the road, get 2 of the kids out of the car and remove the middle seats then put the kids back in the car while the tire is changed, then take the kids out to put the tools, tire, and seats back in. Very dangerous on the side of the road.
