We bought our Odyssey for traveling back and forth to home; about 1,000 miles. Lots of leg room. The DVD player works great. Comes in handy when traveling a long distance. Radio and CD player works good also. The trunk space is good. Have more than enough room when moving especially after taking out the 2nd row of seats. My husband is very timely regarding oil changes and check-ups which keeps the engine runs smoothly. There isn't anything we dislike about it. It's been running good for 8 years.
Story
Traveling to Montana from Pennsylvania. Very comfortable ride. Able to sleep in it when we had to.
Pros
Air conditioning Reclining front seats; good for sleeping. DVD player Gas Mileage is good. Lots of leg room Heated door mirrors. Come in handy in the winter.
Cons
The driver side door had a leak and the seat belt would be soaked after a heavy rain. Took it to Honda to be fixed 3 times and they finally fixed it.

I think overall, I never thought I would own a minivan. However, with two kids under eight and two aging parents, I needed a vehicle that was low to the ground, could hold a lot of luggage, and could easily fit sixÐseven people on a road trip. I also needed entertainment options. With the age of my Honda Odyssey, I wish it had Bluetooth, an automatic liftgate, and a back-up camera, but it wasn't available at the time we bought it (it was a turned in three-year lease vehicle when we bought it). However, it had a DVD player, which by far was the most important feature for a family on road trips, and it was in great condition after three years of lease usage. It was a very quite ride, easy to handle, and I never had to worry about my kids hitting other cars with their doors. After riding ... (more)
Story
When we refinished the basement, we were building a bar tabletop out of quartz. I custom ordered the countertops (there were two) at Menards. My husband mentioned when they came in, I should rent a truck at Menards, and we can get some help to load it. With no measurements, I knew a pallet would fit (as I had put a pallet with dual bathroom sinks quartz countertop). I drove to Menards, and the... (more)
Pros
By far, the room in this vehicle is great. I love having the option to fit up to eight people (and comfortably I may add), even in the back seat. I can easy with one hand, flip the back row down, then remove the middle row captain chairs, and fill it up with mulch or even a pallet carrying a quartz countertop (who needs a truck when they have this)? I love the smooth ride and the space, especially in the trunk. It's also really low to the ground, so even those that are handicap and struggle to get in an out of vehicles can turn out of a captain chair, hold the handle, and get down. It's an... (more)
Cons
Many times, I wish this had AWD, but as I read reviews, I'm not sure how much this has mattered. I once got this van out of a snow ditch by putting it in lower gear and driving out. I think the biggest issues are not having some of the newer features released over the last few years: the Bluetooth for the phone, the auto liftgate, backup camera, etc. It's nothing related to the drivability of the vehicle - just nice to have features. I wish the captains chairs were easier to remove. I saw a commercial for another van that the seats flip down into the floor, which seemed really nice. For th... (more)
