My Honda Odyssey rocks
I never saw myself as a minivan owner, but once I drove my Honda, I was hooked. This van has over 180,000 miles on it, and it only had 75,000 when I bought it four years ago. Even with all these miles on the van, it doesn't have any rattles or trim pieces falling off... When I wash it and wax it, the van looks like a fairly new vehicle. The Honda has only had one issue during the time that I have owned it. The starter went out. The beauty of this van is that I was able to replace the part myself. Most newer vehicles make it almost impossible to do even minor repairs yourself.

Great comfortable people mover
We bought this vehicle this year after having a 2001 model for 6 years ending up with 295000 miles. This one has not disappointed especially since it is fully loaded with leather, navigation, heated seats and video screens. We've taken it on a couple of long day trips and it is easy to drive and comfortable for occupants with its three zone climate control. It's also the party vehicle for when the wife and her friends go out on the town, a role it is especially suited for with its deeply tinted windows and electric remote sliding doors.
One issue we have with this vehicle is that it has two hydraulic motor mounts which are recurring problem with the Touring model and its engine economy mode. The mounts eventually leak causing excessive engine vibration and clunking that detracts from the overall experience. To replace these mounts at a dealership runs over a thousand dollars due to the amount of labor required plus the large costs of parts from Honda. It's probably not a big deal in the long run but an annoyance nonetheless that we have to put up with for the sake of fuel economy.
One thing that we really like though it's a small thing is that the windows in the sliding doors roll down, a feature that our last van did not have. This is great for when we want to experience a cool day or a great view with the kids while we're driving. We're looking forward to going to the drive-through animal safari too.
The quality of this vehicle is amazing. Even after 10 years and 180000 miles the leather is in great shape with only a couple of problems-a lot fewer than we would expect. The problem with leather is always that it dries out and cracks and we see none of that with this vehicle.
All in all we are very satisfied and in a few years will buy another newer van as we are very impressed with the Honda experience.

Honda holds up
My 2005 Honda Odyssey has been going strong for 10 years! Mechanical breakdowns have been nonexistent (except for a dead battery). The interior has held up well under the wear and tear of car seats and two children growing up to teen-agers. The safety features of stability assist, front and side airbags makes me feel confident for the safety of passengers as well as for a teenaged driver. Fold-down rear seats and removable middle seats mean there is plenty of room for cargo. I love the storage carousel in the middle seat floor area for storage of items not immediately needed, and a little drawer under the front passenger seat is a nicely concealed space for storage. Seating for up to 8 passengers makes it a great vehicle to take on vacation to see family, and there are plenty of seating options with the fold-down and removable seats. Visibility from the front windshield and through the back window is wide, and makes me feel more comfortable on the road. Nifty window shades for the middle seat passengers help keep them more comfortable in sunny weather. All in all, my Odyssey is great, and I plan to keep for many more years.
