So far, the Mazda 6s is the best car I have ever owned. I have driven it 6k miles so far. The body is sleek and the original paint has held up very well for the 89k miles this car has been driven. The interior looks very nice, especially for a 15 year old car. It has leather seats, trim and accents. I like the power mirrors, seat controls and sunroof. The stock stereo has no sub or AUX port but works fine with a FM modulator. Also, the speakers are Bose with a mini-sub-woofer and the sound is crisp with variable range. This car is agile and has no problems taking corners and high speeds. It's not the fastest car at about 220 HP, weighing 4300 lbs., but I can maneuver through traffic very well in every situation. The engine is performing very well and there are no problems since I bough... (more)
Story
Driving in the mountains on a windy, snowy road. The sun is just rising and the breeze is flowing through my retracted sunroof. I turn a corner and feel the back end kick out. I quickly counter steer, let off the gas and feel the tires regain traction as I downshift and zoom through the rest of the bend. In the moment I appreciated the versatility of the four door sedan which handled snow, ice... (more)
Pros
Very reliable with quality parts. The clutch lasted 20k miles longer than estimated. The spark plugs needed replacing long ago but still fire and perform well. The interior feels comfortable and was ahead of it's time for the year. The stereo is by the far the best stock speaker system I have ever had in a car. Power everything including sunroof. The car is heavy but the engine pulls the weight better than expected. No cheap plastic anywhere. Large trunk with fold down back seat.
Cons
Weighs 4300 lbs., which is very heavy for a four door sedan. Stock stereo has no USB or AUX port, only a CD player. Low leg room in back seat.

This car has been extremely reliable. I have owned it for 12 years, driven it across and around the United States several times, and put about 150,000 mies on it. In those 12 years, I have only had one mechanical problem (the air conditioning fan) and it was a fairly inexpensive fix. This car is fairly inexpensive for all that you get (especially if you shop around). There are many great color options to choose from. The design is unique and bold, and one of my favorites in the sedan category over the past 15 years. With the right aftermarket options, this vehicle can appear modern for years to come. Factoring in the price, design, gas mileage, and aftermarket options, this vehicle is at the top of my list for anyone looking for an affordable sedan.
Story
I took it to a local car show and won first place overall.
Pros
This vehicle was designed very well. It can look sporty and luxurious at the same time. There are plenty of aftermarket options to customize this vehicle to anyone's liking. You can choose to keep it simple with a set of aftermarket wheels to play on the luxury side of things, or you can install a sporty body kit and have people wondering what kind of exotic car you are driving. The gas mileage is also great without sacrificing power. It has plenty of interior and trunk space. And above all, it is extremely reliable.
Cons
For me, there aren't many negative things about this vehicle. The only annoyance I've had is that some of the plastic interior pieces are hard to get back together correctly if they come apart. I'm sure a dealership could easily fix this issue, though.
