I like that the vehicle is reliable and has a nice look to it. Despite it being almost ten years old now it still looks very modern and has a nice interior. The sound system is great. It has held up well with the amount of mileage it has so far. I drove it across the entire country and it did great. It is not a super fast car but it is very practical which I like.
Story
I went on a cross country road trip with my mother and sister on my way to school.
Pros
It seems very reliable. The interior is nice looking and comfortable. It is spacious and holds everything I need it to. The gas mileage is decent, although of course it is not the most fuel efficient vehicle. It is perfect for my needs of driving it to work and getting around town for errands.
Cons
It does not get as much gas mileage as I would like. The gas gauge seems to not be functioning properly as it doesn't say I have a full tank right after I fill it up. It does not seem to handle well on the ice. Additionally, the auto start that it came with seems to be draining the battery. This doesn't necessarily seem to be an issue with the vehicle itself, rather with the auto start system that was installed. I also do not like that the visors do not have mirrors on them, although this is a minor detail.

2008 Nissan Rogue - Great space, horrible ride.

A nicely priced compact SUV that is great if you have kids or lots of things to haul around, but the ride is not worth the extra space. The road noise is terrible in this car. You can hear every bump on the road. The sound dampening really needs to be improved, but what do you expect from a mid $20,000 car. I like that we can get two car seats in the back comfortably and even have someone sit in the middle seat. It's great for hauling groceries, furniture. or anything else that you can fit in the trunk.
Story
This is our road trip car. We love doing road trips and the Rogue has been very reliable in getting us to our desired destination. One time we even had to sleep in the car because we got stuck due to bad weather. We cranked up the heater and made the best of it.
Pros
Good space in the trunk. Price for what you get. Comparable compact SUVs cost much more. Color and options are built into the package price. Seats are comfortable and easy to keep clean.
Cons
The rear window is extremely small making it difficult to see out of. You can hear a lot of road noise. The car shakes and vibrates when idling. The fit and finish are not top quality. A lot of hard plastic around the dash. Missing many of the now common safety features like collision warning, LKAS, blind spot monitoring. Fuel economy on the highway is not as advertised.
