The Toyota Sienna is a spectacular vehicle for many reasons. The first being the space and ability to move and fold down the seating for all of life's adventures. The second being the ease with which you can make repairs as the Toyota is compatible with so many brand name parts. I have used this vehicle largely for frequent travel and for my day to day errands. The only downfall is the climate control system. While progressive for its year there are frequent needs to recharge the air conditioning.
Story
We have used this vehicle in travels from Ohio to Kentucky, West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania to visit Civil War battlefields. It is roomy and accommodates all of our travel needs. Not to mention that our Toyota Sienna, Pearl, is very easy to spot in a row of smaller vehicles on the battlefield so we all have a good point of reference. We have had our lunch out of the back and slept in... (more)
Pros
The handling of this vehicle makes it one of the best of the larger vehicles I have ever driven. The steering is seamless and the brakes are rarely in need of replacing. The seating is comfortable and extremely durable which is handy when it comes to having a family vehicle.
Cons
With age the door handles have frequently broken and the window mechanisms keep getting damaged. The fluids also need refilled more frequently than any other vehicle I have owned.

We bought our Toyota Sienna mini van used at a Toyota dealership in 2005. At the time, it had 52,000 miles on it. We have now owned it for 11 years, and it has almost 300,000 miles on it. Toyota engines are tough, and ours has survived several overlooked oil changes and numerous vacations, including trips from North Carolina to Florida. We were looking for a van because at the time we had twin 4 year olds and another on the way. We love that the van seats up to 7 people, and it has allowed our family to grow into it comfortably. Now, with 4 daughters, we still ride with plenty of room. The trunk area has plenty of space for all of our luggage for when we travel, and there is a roof rack for when we bring the boogie boards and beach chairs to the coast. We love the automatic passenger s... (more)
Story
We love taking our Toyota Sienna minivan to fireworks shows. We pull into a parking space facing away from the show and open the trunk and kids will pile into the trunk space to watch the show.
Pros
My favorite features of the Toyota Sienna are that it seats up to 7 people, that it has a passenger side automatic door, that it has a dependable engine, it has a roomy trunk area, and it is a very low maintenance vehicle.
Cons
The top negative things for me are all after thoughts - they are not things I was unhappy with, but features I came to wish my van had. I would love seating for up to 8 people (a bench seat across the middle row instead of 2 bucket seats), I would love automatic sliding doors on both sides of the vehicle, and I would love that those doors had windows that roll down.
