2011 Toyota Sienna - Great vehicle for a large family.
Our 2011 Toyota Sienna with a V-6 engine has been a great, reliable vehicle for our large, extended family. We live in central Florida and have taken several day trips with our extended family in this vehicle. We have transported as many as 5 adults and 3 children to the beach, including all our beach equipment. This includes beach cart, umbrellas, chairs, blankets, toys, floats, etc. The 2011 Toyota Sienna has room for 8 passengers, as well as ample space behind the seating for cargo. The thing that impressed me the most was the smoothness of the ride in this 2011 Toyota Sienna. This vehicle rides like a premium luxury car. The gas mileage is good too. For a vehicle this size, we average in the city, around 20 mpg. On the highway for long trips, it has been even better, close to 25 mp... (more)

For a vehicle this size, we average in the city, around 20 mpg. On the highway for long trips, it has been even better, close to 25 mpg. For a vehicle this size, that is pretty good mileage. Also, the seating for the front and middle rows are what I would refer to as bucket seats, that are very comfortable. We have over 100,000 miles on this vehicle, and have had very few problems other than normal maintenance. The interior is well made and has endured constant use. Our vehicle had the DVD already installed for rear passengers to view, and it still works after 100,000 miles. We have had no problems with the transmission which can be an issue for vehicles this size with heavy usage. Also, our A/C still works fine. The only things I would like to see improved on this model is visibility when changing lanes to the right, and when backing up. It is difficult to see small vehicles in the blind zone in the right lane, so one must take extra special care when moving to the right. You can use the side view mirror to help with this. Also, there have been a couple of recalls for this vehicle to correct the airbag issue and the motor in the automatic side doors. It did take Toyota a while to issue a fix for the airbag issue for this model. Overall this 2011 Toyota Sienna has been a great, very reliable, and fun family vehicle to own.

The vehicle felt safe, even when driving through afternoon rain storms on the way home (which never failed to happen).
Smoothness of the ride. Comfortable seating. Roominess (seats up to 8 passengers). Cargo space (even with 8 passengers). Reliability. Quality. Fuel efficient for its size. Extras (DVD player, roof racks, tinted windows, rear window defrost and wiper, side mirror defrost/defog, rear view camera, temp display, satellite radio).

Visibility when changing lanes to the right and backing up. (use of mirrors and rearview camera help). Amount of time it took Toyota to fix the airbag issue for this particular model (over a year). During that time we were advised not to sit in the front passenger seat, so we lost part of our ability to use the vehicle as we desired to during that time. Need to buy good quality tires and brake pads to avoid extra road noise.

2011 Toyota Sienna - I feel fortunate to own it.
I like the design of the van. It has smooth lines and looks luxurious. During the test drive, I knew within 30 seconds of getting out on the road that I was going to buy it. The handling is smooth and I felt as if I was floating. It has been extremely dependable, and I have only had to do routine maintenance on it even after 80,000 miles. One of the main reasons I bought it is the seating: It seats 8. There is plenty of room for the whole family and tons of stuff in the back.

Shortly after I purchased the car, my family and I were going to the movies with two other families. We were transporting everyone in three different vehicles. As we set off down the road in a line, my friend noticed that we made quite the parade: All three vans were Toyota Siennas - model years 1991, 2001, and 2011.

My favorite thing about the van is that it handles like a luxury car and I don't feel that I'm chugging around in a truck or big van. I mean, if you are going to be driving kids around all the time, then you might as well be comfortable and stylish. I have really enjoyed having all the options for the stereo: CD, USB, and Bluetooth. I love the hands-free syncing with my phone. Another bonus is the seating and the option of removing the 8th seat, if needed. It even comes with a little storage compartment for the seat! Although the 8th seat is very helpful, the process of installing it is unwieldy. I feel that I am wrestling it every time that I have to put it in. I also regret that my particular model did not have memory for the seat settings. Finally, although I do enjoy the luxury feel of the van, it sometimes feels too slow to accelerate. This mini-van mom would prefer it to have just a little bit of "race car" at times.
