Overall, we are very happy with our Toyota Sienna. We love the silver color and leather-like interior, which is great for cleaning up after young children. The van is very spacious, and the seats are easy to move up and down to accommodate our needs. The Sienna performs well overall.
Story
While driving to Florida for a family vacation, we got stuck in traffic and had to feed our kids (ages 5, 3, 1) their snack in the car. Needing access to both back rows, I sat on the little bit of ledge from the front seat center console. That served as my perch so I could monitor the kids in the back and still be comfortable. The fun part was needing to make a quick adjustment to our schedule... (more)
Pros
Many special features that make the ride more enjoyable such as heated seats, sun roof, "sync ability" to make the entire car the same temperature, tinted back windows, and electronic outlets throughout for convenience.
Cons
The Sienna is a bit noisy. There was a very loud metallic rattle coming from the base of the third row. The seat jiggled while driving, creating this annoying sound. The dealership tried several times to fix it, and the solution came when we put the seat in the upright position and placed a child/car seat on top. The extra weight and different position has eliminated the sound. Not the perfect solution, but it worked for us! When the seats are all up, there is really no trunk space. We accommodated with a portable luggage carrier on top of the van but wish there was just a bit more space.

Our 2014 Toyota Sienna is a reliable family vehicle. It has performed well in safety measures, road tests, and crash tests. It has a reasonable amount of technology. It's the base, entry-level "LE" model, but we do not feel we need to upgrade. It provides great comfort and a great entry price.
Story
We have two kids with lots of friends and family, so it's always fun to have spontaneous activities where we go and pick up two or three other kids for a fun trip somewhere. We will have six–eight total people all in the van, and it's so much more fun than having to cram those people into two smaller cars. The sound level really gets up there, but it's very memorable and fun looking back on ou... (more)
Pros
We like our Toyota Sienna for its ability to transport six to eight people comfortably. It is very reliable. No problems with starting, driving, or any other operation. It is very comfortable. There is a lot of room for everyone from the driver and front passenger to the middle passengers and even in the third row. Seating is ergonomic so that adds to comfort. We also like the price because it was slightly cheaper than the competition, a Honda Odyssey van. We also like the styling updates. It was redesigned recent to this 2014 Toyota Sienna, and in our opinion, it looks much better. The ba... (more)
Cons
The gas mileage is not very good. When I compare it to other vans, it's about average, but I really feel like it should be able to achieve at least 20 mpg city and 30 highway, but it is closer to about 24/15.
