Our 2014 Toyota Sienna is a reliable family vehicle. It has performed well in safety measures, road tests, and crash tests. It has a reasonable amount of technology. It's the base, entry-level "LE" model, but we do not feel we need to upgrade. It provides great comfort and a great entry price.
Story
We have two kids with lots of friends and family, so it's always fun to have spontaneous activities where we go and pick up two or three other kids for a fun trip somewhere. We will have six–eight total people all in the van, and it's so much more fun than having to cram those people into two smaller cars. The sound level really gets up there, but it's very memorable and fun looking back on ou... (more)
Pros
We like our Toyota Sienna for its ability to transport six to eight people comfortably. It is very reliable. No problems with starting, driving, or any other operation. It is very comfortable. There is a lot of room for everyone from the driver and front passenger to the middle passengers and even in the third row. Seating is ergonomic so that adds to comfort. We also like the price because it was slightly cheaper than the competition, a Honda Odyssey van. We also like the styling updates. It was redesigned recent to this 2014 Toyota Sienna, and in our opinion, it looks much better. The ba... (more)
Cons
The gas mileage is not very good. When I compare it to other vans, it's about average, but I really feel like it should be able to achieve at least 20 mpg city and 30 highway, but it is closer to about 24/15.

This van is unbelievably powerful, with an engine that performs more like a sports car than a minivan. It accelerates quickly and has brakes that stop on a dime. I love the cruise control in particular, as I've taken several long road trips in it; I'm partially disabled and this feature made driving much easier for me. Additionally, it gets decent gas mileage and has nearly a 400-mile range on a single tank of gas. In all, this van offers a roomy and comfortable ride for all passengers.
Story
Well, it wasn't really fun, but I'll always remember it! I'd only had the van a few weeks when my mom, who happened to be driving, backed into a pole in a parking lot. She forgot the van had a backup camera!
Pros
I love the integrated Bluetooth. It allows me to fully utilize the van's top-of-the-line sound system for everything from GPS navigation to playback of media on my phone. It's very easy to use, and the hand controls on the steering wheel are an added bonus. I'm also thrilled with the ability to open and close the doors of the van using either one of a few buttons located throughout the van or the key fob itself. Finally, the second and third row seats are all removable, which has come in quite handy several times!
Cons
The only truly negative thing about this van is the lack of programmable presets in this model for the position of the driver's seat and the mirrors. It's an important enough feature that I feel it should be included on all models. I've also wondered why, when the side doors can be controlled with the key fob, the rear hatch itself can only be opened manually. This might be a feature on a higher-end model, but is nonexistent on the SE.
