I got this vehicle used. As a result I was able to afford it. I would never be able to afford this vehicle new. I acquired it for the cargo and passenger space, and because of the AWD. We live in a rural area and the roads are often snowy or icy in the winter. The AWD is a must for us, for convenience as well as safety. So far I have no complaints. I love the cargo space the vehicle has. Even with all seats in place, there is tons of storage space. The passengers are as comfortable as the driver, because there is so much room inside. My two kids don't get anywhere near each other, so it's more relaxing for me on longer trips. We can throw the kids' bikes in the back, behind the seats, and still have room for other items. I find the seats very easy to recline and flatten. With all of th... (more)
Story
I can now threaten to separate my kids by putting them in different rows of seats. Although they are constantly fighting they don't want to be separated either.
Pros
The extra space it provides and the comfort of the vehicle are the major advantages.
Cons
It's mileage is low because it's such a big and heavy vehicle. As a result I have been spending a lot more money on gas.

I bought my 2007 Toyota Sienna XLE Limited when my wife wrecked our previous 2007 Toyota Sienna LE. We could have easily used the opportunity to buy a different vehicle, but we loved the Sienna platform so much that we just had to find another of the same year. This van has plenty of power and room to fit our growing family, plus it is well engineered for low maintenance. It does have a couple of strange quirks to note, but I think the pros by far outweigh the cons.
Story
Last year we loaded up the van and went out west for a family reunion. We went camping at Mesa Verde National Park and Carlsbad Caverns National Park. It was so fun to have enough room in our van for all our kids and our gear on our family adventure. During the drive time our kids were able to sit back and watch our favorite movies, then when it came time to set up our tent, we were able to us... (more)
Pros
Lots of room: it has four bucket seats and a third row bench seats for a total of seven seat-belts. Also, if extra cargo room is desired, the middle bucket seats fold up and roll forward and the third row can be folded into the trunk well. The XLE limited trim package includes lots of bells and whistles: leather upholstery, power front seats, power sliding doors, a moonroof, and a DVD player. Lots of power for when you need to pass a slow vehicle. All-wheel drive for slick road conditions. Quality engineering for low maintenance.
Cons
To make room fro the AWD drive-train, the spare tire was removed. The vehicle comes stock with run flat tires, but these are very expensive to replace. Fortunately, standard tires can be installed instead and roadside assistance is easy to enroll in with most insurance companies, so lack of a spare really isn't a huge handicap. The engine is difficult to work on. If the spark plugs ever need to be replaced, it takes a good amount of digging to do the job. This can be a bit intimidating for a shade-tree mechanic like myself, but fortunately it is rare that maintenance is needed because of t... (more)
