Purchased a 2015 VW in 2015. So far I've had it for about a year and a few months. I am enjoying every bit of it. Even after the incident regarding the emission scandal that recently happened. I enjoy the strong engine and sport handles that this car offers. I also enjoy the luxury interior that they did to this car. The gas mileage is average depending on how much and how hard you drive. Now this car does need some upgrades and work if it wants to be the top sports car. At times the car does have a bit of rattling after accelerating above 60mph. I haven't had too many mechanical issues with this car, only issues regarding the engine and how it has problems with the starter which I'm not sure why. Overall, this is an above average car and I'm pretty satisfied with it. Hopefully it stay... (more)
Story
I recently drove to Santa Cruz and Monterey for a weekend. It was a great drive and I really put the car to good use. I did my best to test out the suspension of the car and taking my car off roading in certain parts of the town. It was a great moment that I recently had
Pros
Nice clean interior and exterior design makes it more appealing and fun. I enjoy the luxury feel it brings and the stronger engine. It also gives a sporty look and its easier to drive. Handles great and there's not much it can't do regarding making quick moves. My favorite features is the great gas mileage it provides and the 6 speed manual makes it more fun to drive
Cons
Wish the car had more contemporary features and possibly include more stabilization with the engine and fix the no emissions scandal. I don't like to being tricked into buying something expensive. There's not much to hate about this car but it does need some minor upgrades to make this car the ultimate sports car.

It's a sporty, modern day sports car. I love that the car has so much support for aftermarket things. It also is a very sporty car for its class of vehicle. It over performs anything I could ever imagine when I bought the vehicle. It also gets plenty of compliments about how sporty it is. It comes in so many options and packages, which is nice. The colors are also extremely bright.
Story
Going to car meets and people asking questions about it. There's a lot of Volkswagen people in the community, and it makes you feel at home.
Pros
It's such a new car, and it feels new. The infotainment system is so easy to connect with your phone. Also, the navigation on it is very easy and helpful because you can type in the location, and it gives what's around it too. It is also very comfortable to ride in, it rides very smooth and doesn't feel like a boat. The sport mode is very run to drive in, and if you drive a DSG, it feels like a manual. It does use more gas, but it's totally worth it.
Cons
Some of the top negative things for me are how the car starts up and the sounds of the vehicle. The sounds that come through to the car aren't real sounds, it's made up of sounds that make the car seem louder or more sporty. It does idle a little high and feels rumbly at times. I also don't like how the Eco mode doesn't really save gas miles. It only makes it seem like you're driving slower, but it just revs to not a higher level.
