I like the car because visually it holds up and looks good compared to newer cars. The style of it makes it feel classic without being old. The car has over 200,000 miles and runs well considering the age. There are no interior rattles or unusual sounds. Takes a long time to warm up in the winter. It will not move until the engine is warm.
Story
The most fun I had with the car was being able to drive out of my neighborhood to get the food I was craving late in the evening. It was freeing being able to do so.
Pros
My favorite feature is the sun roof. I love that the speakers work and have a good amount of bass. Comfortable interior and seats. Seatbelts are in working order. The dashboard and inner panel are not flashy. Everything is simple, cleaned line and easy to use/understand. Great gas mileage. A full tank cost about $30. The heat works beautifully. The trunk is huge. It can hold over ten full grocery bags, two medium boxes, and a store bag holding car supplies.
Cons
The negative to this vehicle is that the A/C does not work. Since it is older, the old converter needed to be replaced. The connection to the gas cap on the driver side needs to be re-inserted into the door. The back seats are missing the head rest. The interior fabric is coming away from the frame inside the car. The transmission needs to be replaced. The back seat is not as roomy as newer models. Door lock needs to be replaced. Brakes needed to be replaced. Fan belt needed to be changed. Maintenance was not on the car for years.

This car is built with excellent quality. I have driven nearly 200,000 miles on almost entirely original parts. The car rides smoothly and is very quiet inside, even with the large number of miles on the odometer. The seats are comfortable and cradle well without feeling constrictive. The interior is nicely arranged and very user-friendly. There are many semi-advanced features on this car, such as a rudimentary real-time fuel gauge estimate. The car has six airbags for safety. The body seems solid even after fourteen years, and the paint has held up well in the tough desert sun. The steering is comfortable. The turn radius is excellent. The wheel turns easily, but the steering is tight and responsive. I was able to fit a four-foot bookcase in the hatch perfectly, and I used this car to... (more)
Story
Purposefully sliding around corners on a dirt road in the mountains of Prescott, AZ.
Pros
Long-lasting parts, comfortable seats, good creature-comforts, great handling.
Cons
Aftermarket stereo systems do not function well and the built-in stereo will only play cassettes and audio CDs, not MP3s. The seat backs are a pain to adjust using a knob you turn rather than an easy-to-use lever.
