Built to last with lots of practical features and a few luxury touches too. This car is perfect for our small, active family. The hatch opening is a great feature to stow groceries, camping gear, or the family dog. The rear seats fold down, which creates more room than you would imagine—you can transport small pieces of furniture, cargo, even lumber. There are good safety features including shoulder belts in the backseat, front and side airbags, and anti-lock brakes. Little features like heated front seats and power mirrors are useful little luxuries.
Story
This little car has taken us to the coast and up into the mountains more times than I can count. It's never let us down.
Pros
I love the hatchback, which adds a lot of extra practicality and transforms this compact sedan into a tiny SUV. The gas mileage is incredible, and the engine is zippy for fast acceleration when needed. It's a perfect balance between down-to-earth usefulness and high-quality German engineering. And the size of the car makes parallel parking a snap because you can fit into even the tiniest spaces.
Cons
This is a small, compact car. While we can comfortably fit myself (5'2"), my ten year old, some groceries, and a dog, my husband (6'2") just barely clears the ceiling, and when his seat is pushed all the way back, there is hardly any leg room at all in the backseat behind him.

2004 Volkswagen Golf - Great multi-purpose car.

The car was a 2004 Volkswagen Golf GLS 4 door hatchback. It was only owned by one owner and garaged pretty well. I enjoyed taking the car out with my friends since it was spacious. It cost more to fix and maintain which isn't the best if you are trying to save The car broke well, handled and drove smoothly.
Story
I was driving around one time with the sunroof down over some hills and my friends were all poking their heads out the roof and screaming or goofing around and as soon as we pass a hill a police officer passes us and makes a U-turn. We all thought that he was pulling us over for that he was going to pull us over to warn us not to do that but he turned on his lights and sped past us.
Pros
Accelerated quickly. Handled efficiently. The interior was pretty nice, the car had a sunroof. The trunk had a lot of room which helped when I moved. The engine was German so it was efficient even though was pricier to maintain.
Cons
The car was not the most fuel efficient. It cost more for tires and oil changes. Cost more to fix. Insurance cost more. It was loud.
