I really enjoy my vehicle. It gets great mileage and is very fun to drive.
I own a 2013 Volkswagen Golf TDI. It has a 140 hp turbocharged diesel engine. I have owned three previous VWs in the past all good cars. I plan on holding onto this one for as long as possible. In general I find VWs to be reliable vehicles and also very safe to drive. That is why I keep coming back to them. I have driven my Golf across the country on a road trip back to where I grew up. It was a 20+ hour trip but I found the vehicle to be roomy and comfortable for the entire journey.

Go for Golf!
I absolutely love my 2013 VW Golf. I bought the car from Hertz with about 42k miles on it. I've had it for a few months and it's one of the best purchases that I have ever made. For the price, the ride quality of the car is simply unbeatable. It is a lot of fun to drive and with 170hp to play around with, it's much better than the average appliance car. The interior is very beautifully styled. While the car may not have many "toys" that other models of the same year have (navigation/Bluetooth/rearview camera) this money has been put into building into a quality interior, which imitates that of a higher end car. Also, being a hatchback with rear seats that fold down, you can fit a lot of cargo in it! I moved back to my family in D.C. From Oklahoma City during the summer, and I managed to fit all of my clothes and possessions into the car! There are a few things to be aware of on this car. It has a very large blind spot on the driver's side, which can not be fixed no matter how you adjust the mirrors. There is an aftermarket curved mirror that will fix this issue or you simply have to be very diligent about checking your driver's side at all times. The gas mileage on this car is also not stellar. With a hungry 2.5 Liter, 5-cylinder, this car is certainly not the most economical. I average around 25 mpg and 32 mpg on the highway. In comparison to other cars in the same category, this is probably this car's weakest aspect. However, with gas prices as low as they are right now, this is not a serious drawback. I highly recommend this car!
