What I really like about this vehicle is its longevity, reliability and capability. I have the version with the Cummins 12-valve turbo diesel in it, and it is a strong and capable truck. It can pull 11,000 lbs. in the bed 10,000 lbs. at the hitch per the owners manual, but I know a lot of people over tow with few problems. I have the short bed version and the size is good both for hauling things and for fitting into parking spots at stores or work. Another thing I really like is how long lasting it is. I bought the truck with 208,000 miles on it from a trustworthy friend, and it has needed a few minors fixes from things that have worn out, but no major maintenance has been required. I have put about 30,000 miles on it myself and it is working great, and I have been told the engine shou... (more)
Story
Got my first deer (new hunter) a couple years ago and it was easy to just toss it in the back of the truck, drive out of the hunting location and straight to the processor. No mess, no fuss. That wouldn't have been possible with the Honda Civic I owned previously (another great reliable car).
Pros
Bang for the buck. I paid more than the Kelley Blue Book for this, but most people do when they buy them used. That is because they last a very long time. So I expect to get a good 10 years of use out of this truck or more, having bought it with 208.
Cons
They are few, but the biggest negatives have been inconvenient things that have started to break. An oil pressure sensor went out, the back up lights don't always illuminate when I put the truck in reverse, a tire popped, I lost the tool that lowers the spare tire from beneath the bed and it is hard to find in auto stores, the gauge cluster was having a occasional misreadings and the mechanic couldn't find a replacement gauge cluster...things like that. Overall, however, there is not much to complain about. Mostly issues related to the age of the truck and how it starts to become more diff... (more)

It performs like an excellent work horse. The driving is extremely smooth and can turn sharply for its size. The bench seating in the front is great for extra seating room instead of a useless console that gets in the way. Great for hauling anything you need with a spacious bed. Powerful enough to tow large trailers or even other vehicles if need be or even towing other vehicles out of off-roading catastrophes. Gas mileage is better than you'd expect for such a powerful vehicle. Everything about the vehicle is built to last.
Story
We use this vehicle to tow our camper on frequent camping trips. We decided to go explore the logging roads one time and ended up in a mud pit on a dead end road that looked firmer than it actually was. Popped it in 4WD and the kids laughed the whole time we worked to get ourselves out of it with all the sliding, mucky noises the mud was making.
Pros
Decent gas mileage, towing ability, 4WD, plenty of seating, diesel engine, large bed for hauling, and a brand that I know builds exceptional vehicles.
Cons
I haven't yet found a con to owning this vehicle and have had it since it had 11 miles on the odometer. It now has 249,000. It runs perfectly with proper maintenance.
