Gets me from "A" to "B"
Current daily driver with lots of mileage and hasn't failed me yet. It is a sturdy vehicle with a good amount of storage space and third-row seating for when I need it. I have two kids and there is enough space for them, my dog, my husband and all of our stuff for vacation. It has done well with towing our boat as well. I have found that the adjustable roof rack really comes in handy. The biggest issue that I have had with it is that I have needed to make a lot of repairs due to "wear and tear" that I have never experienced with other vehicles. It does have a sun roof however Toyota has discontinued the parts necessary to fix it so it is just for looks.

A solid car
I have thoroughly enjoyed owning a Highlander. The size is ideal for an SUV, as it is large enough to accommodate three rows of passengers, without becoming so large that you feel as if you are driving a tank. Despite its smaller size for an SUV, it still has no problem pulling a trailer and driving down rough gravel roads. Despite the delightful day-to-day ownership of the vehicle, it has had a few minor issues requires maintenance, such as a broken sunroof and warped break pads. However, maintenance is to be expected on any vehicle of this age and which has had over 170,000 miles. One of the most convenient features for me has been the durability of the vehicle. I spend a great deal of my time at farms and therefore often track dirt and mud into the vehicle. Despite this, I have never had an issue cleaning up the interior and ensuring the vehicle stays smelling clean and fresh. I have even transported goats in the car with no problems! As a newer driver, I have appreciated the visibility from the drivers seat, as I do not like to feel as if I am sitting low to the ground. While the features of the car so feel at times outdated, the vehicle has been a solid first car.
