Overall, this car was a really nice one. I got it as my college car, so I could commute between my college town and home. It's definitely not the fastest car out there, and it doesn't accelerate as quickly on the on ramps as some of the cars behind me, but overall I really enjoyed my Rio. It was very fuel efficient so I didn't have to worry about going out of my way to pick up a friend or go to the mall farther away. The insurance for it isn't very expensive. I bought my car used, but in the 4 years that I owned it never broke down or had any problems aside from a tire that got punctured and slowly started deflating.
Story
I took this baby for a road trip of 9 states in 8 days with four of my friends the summer after high school. I think we traveled around 4,000 miles total. And my Rio totally was able to navigate all the roads and was great after, too. Definitely the most memorable memory in that car and probably that year in general.
Pros
One of the biggest positives is that this car is good value for the money. It's fuel efficient. It's also reliable. I really like the eco button that would light up and stay lit as long as I wasn't accelerating too fast. It was also comfortable and while not having 4WD could still travel fairly well in icy and snowy weather. It's more compact so it was easy to parallel park it in my college town that doesn't have many parking spaces around campus.
Cons
It doesn't have a very strong engine so it's a bit slow to accelerate. The car is lighter so it will still sometimes lose traction in very icy conditions. More so than a 4wd would.

This was my first car, a modest small little Kia. What I Love about the car is that it was small and modest. The locks are manual and so are the windows (not electronic) and that is nice because those electronic windows are always the first to go. When I bought it, it was 5 years old but still drove great. I drove it all over Montana where I lived. Because it is so small there isn't a lot of trunk space, but I didn't need a lot. When going up hills, the car doesn't do well, it doesn't have much pick up in that regard. So don't expect to go more that 50mph on an incline on the highway. But the car is reliable, It has only had one issue with the spark plug since I bought it.
Story
One time when I was driving the car in Glacier, there was a rock interface that jutted out from the highway, and most cars couldn't drive under it because they were too big, but my car could because it was so small. It was so cool!
Pros
I loved the interior, and display for music. You can play music on a USB and it has an AUX cord. It is sleek and small. It gets great gas mileage, sometimes even 27-29 mph on the highway.
Cons
This is not a winter car. Thank goodness I have winter tires but even then the car is very dangerous in the winter. It is so low to the ground that it is very easy to get stuck in the snow. Like I mentioned before, it doesn't get great pick up on the highway. Also the windows were so tinted, sometimes I would get pulled over for those.
