I bought this car for work because I'll drive a lot. It is a good car great on gas and good in the winter. I drive around 400 miles for work each month. So this car gets about 40 miles to the gallon. It has been very good to me and I have had no major complaints so far. It is kind of small so if I go on a long trip with multiple passengers it can get a little uncomfortable. Also the road noise is a little louder than I would like but I can deal with it. Overall this car has made my experience with my first KIA great.

I got this vehicle while I was on a budget, and I certainly got what I paid for. The interior felt a bit better than the car performed, but it was so notably slow that when I was getting on the highway driving home from the dealership I had to struggle just to get to 60 mph. The car had an "eco" mode, but with or without it, it struggled to get 27 mpg in my mostly-highway commute. The system for changing the audio was absolutely abhorrent, and I'm a music fanatic so that's kind of a major feature for me, and I'd often have to struggle to sort through folders to find the tune I wanted. At one point, a cab driver crashed into me (entirely his fault), and the car did not handle the damage well, which lead me to believe that if the accident were more serious, I may not have fared so nicely... Story
I had to work late on Valentine's Day one year, and I was driving my car to my girlfriend's house very late. I got pulled over getting onto a major highway at about 2 a.m., and the police officer was naturally wondering what I was doing (as I may have been driving a bit fast on the empty roads). I had a bottle of wine on the front seat, and he asked to observe it before realizing it was closed... (more)
Pros
The interior felt sturdier than I had anticipated. I was expecting it to have that plastic, hollow sort of feeling that some cheaper cars have. It was actually quite solid, and there wasn't any rattling when I had the bass music pumping. The entire time I owned it, I said, "it would've been a good learner vehicle for someone who didn't have to drive on the highway very often."
Cons
The engine felt more like a go-kart engine than a real car engine. It handled like garbage (making certain tight U-turns into a seven-point nightmare), and the low engine capabilities really made it hard to merge into fast traffic safely. The sound system wasn't the worst, but it wasn't particularly pleasant. Towards the end of the lease, there were some oil issues where the car was needlessly burning through oil. I didn't drive it excessively or damage the car in any way. It sort of confirmed my suspicions that either the model just wasn't a good one or I had some kind of lemon.
