2004 Nissan Frontier OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS

Could be better, could be worse.
The fact that they did not recall the radiator hose into the transmission was a real bummer. We lost our transmission and had to have it replaced, and it should have been a total recall by the company. The CD player is broken, and I will need to replace with an aftermarket one, when I have the money to do it. The seating is very roomy; we have a family of five and are quite comfortable. The truck bed has a good amount of room to haul some things. The seats are comfortable, and it rides nice. There is a lot of cargo room in the cab. The moon roof is a great feature, and we love it. There are two glove boxes, and I like that feature. The cab heats up very quick and cools down even quicker. The body seems to be rusting a little too quickly, but we do live in a northeastern state with a lot of salt on the roads. Four-wheel drive has been spectacular in our snowy conditions. Sometimes it does get stuck in four-wheel drive, but then you have to do the super secret trick. The tow package we got is awesome and has come in very handy. The rhino lining in the truck bed makes it easy to keep clean. The turning radius is not great, but that may be because of the four-wheel drive. Overall, I would buy this truck again.

The truck is about what you would expect from a four banger. There are not too many frills in this truck. You won't see cruise control or active steering or any type of wet road detection in this older model. Overall, it has held up well over the years. As the 100,000 mile marker has passed, it is beginning to have more and more issues but held up well up until then.

You'll get your money's worth!
I picked up my truck about thirteen years ago from a credit union auto service. I was making my first (adult) purchase and knew that I wanted a pickup truck. I test drove a few and decided on the Nissan Frontier. There weren't many bells or whistles in it - manual transmission, manual locks, manual windows, etc. Even though it wasn't the fanciest truck, it was a solid vehicle for many years and even more miles.
