The truck is a 2005 Nissan Frontier XE, It is a true workhorse type of truck. It has a V-6 under the hood giving it some pulling power.
Story
Playing with the truck on a snow covered road. It holds its ground but still slides when you accelerate. This is a fun thing to do on a country road when no one is around.
Pros
It has the power and capability to haul a full bed load of rock without any hesitation. I really like having the sliding window in the back to allow for extra air flow for anyone sitting in the back seat. The back doors open allowing it easier to put things inside the truck in bad weather or during shopping trips.
Cons
It did not come with running boards, the truck sits a little high and can be difficult for a shorter person to get into.

First things first, I'm reviewing the 2005 Nissan Frontier XE with manual transmission. I picked this bad boy up used from a car lot with a recommendation from my friend, and I'm happy to say its one of the best pieces of advice I've ever followed. Overall, the Frontier is a very dependable little truck. The driving experience is pleasant with one little setback, it can sometimes be a rocky ride, but this is common among trucks of its size, price range and quality. The reason I'm rating the vehicle so high extends past the driving experience or the appearance of the vehicle - it's the dependability. In over 200,000 miles I've experienced one issue with the engine, and it was a minor belt for the AC Clutch. Many others have written about this specific issue, but luckily it's the only on... (more)
Story
I was actually shocked at how much I could use this truck to carry out handyman tasks. It's quite small and only has a four banger under the hood, but I got it to pull a small demolition trailer fully loaded with drywall and studs.
Pros
The price, because I bought it used, was spot on. I paid total about $7,000 for the vehicle after all taxes and such. The vehicle is very, very dependable. I also found, because I have the manual transmission, the vehicle was fun to drive. This was the first time I was driving stick, and the clutch lives in a very healthy place.
Cons
The belt issue mentioned above in the main article is the primary issue. The specific belt I had a problem with is one that several others have cited as having an issue with. It's all over the forums for anything to do with the Nissan Frontier from these year ranges. The second downside, like I said, this is a bit of a rocky ride, you may want to put on some aftermarket shocks.
