2018 Nissan LEAF - Exceptionally pleased with my Nissan LEAF
The Nissan LEAF is an exceptional vehicle for several reasons. First, it is an all-electric car that has a 150-mile expected range. This range is sufficient for nearly all my driving requirements because my daily commute is less than 70 miles round trip. Second, the electric drive provides an exceptionally smooth and quite in-cabin experience. The only noise I hear is the wind, and a quite acceleration of the electric drive train. Third, because the car is all-electric, it is highly responsive and had more torque than I expected. Acceleration is attention-grabbing, even when the car is in "eco" mode. Second, the electric drive provides an exceptionally smooth and quite in-cabin experience. The only noise I hear is the wind, and a quite acceleration of the electric drive train. Third, because the car is all-electric, it is highly responsive and had more torque than I expected. Acceleration is attention-grabbing, even when the car is in "eco" mode. This is coupled with tight responsivity on curves, which makes the car a pleasure to drive. Fourth, since the car is all-electric, I never have to stop at a gas station, which makes my daily commute more pleasant. Fifth, driving the car emits no carbon dioxide emissions, or other gasses that can cause pollution. This appeals to my sense of environmental responsibility. Sixth, the car is a really pretty blue. I know this is a bit superficial, but the blue is eye-catching, and has an unexpected depth that I do not see in other blue cars. Seventh, the interior looks and feels expensive. Even though the SV model comes with cloth seats, I do not miss the leather interior of the next higher rim-level. The texture of the material is both refined and yet sporty enough to appeal to my more energetic style. Inside the car, the heated steering wheel and heated seats make winter-time driving much more pleasant than in vehicles without these features.
The LEAF is so quiet that it startles people walking in my neighborhood. Often people will not notice I am behind them, and jump in surprise when they finally notice a car drawing up next to them. To stop scaring people, I tend to give the horn a gentle beep when I notice a pedestrian.

My least favorite things about the vehicle include the following: the range is a bit short. I would prefer a range of at least 200 miles. Charging time can be lengthy if the battery is low and winter range is reduced due to cold weather having a negative impact on the battery.
