The 2007 VW Beetle is above all a cute and fun ride. At 12 years old, however, it can be a bit high maintenance. I have to take it in at least a couple of times a year for some repair or another. That doesn't count the work a family member has done on it several times a year as well for small jobs such as replacing trim pieces, etc. The seats are comfortable, and there is a lot of headroom. It has a lot of get up and go with good tires on it. The stereo system works well and even gets satellite radio, surprising for such an old car. Of course, I bought it used, so this could be after market equipment. In a fender bender, I was unhurt and even a glass bottle in the area impacted was unbroken, so safety seems high. I find the car fun to drive and wish it would give me either more problem... (more)

I have enjoyed riding around Atlanta with the windows down in nice weather, playing some classic tunes on the radio.
Pros
Appearance. Acceleration. Comfort. Safety. Stereo.
Cons
Frequent repairs.

I just recently got my car, so having a newer car is always nice. I like my VW Beetle because it's a small, compact car, so it's easy for me to drive around the city. I also like the interior of the car because it's not leather, which I actually prefer, because leather gets too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. I love the way the car looks because it's cute, girly and fun which all suit my personality. It's pretty comfortable for me to drive, the other thing I dislike is that because I'm pretty short (5 foot 3 inches), I have to have my seat as close to the steering wheel as possible, so I can reach the pedals, and be able to push the clutch all the way down. Because of this, my knees are right up against the part of the dash underneath the steering wheel, which makes me un... (more)
Story
The most fun/memorable stories I have about my vehicle was when I was first learning how to drive it (since it was a manual), I was picking it up from the dealership, and I didn't know how to drive a stick and looked like an idiot driving out of the dealership, while all of the maintenance and repairmen were able to see me struggling to drive the car. I was with my mom, and a couple of my frie... (more)
Pros
The top positive things about my Volkswagen Beetle, in my opinion, were the style, the way it handles and the gas mileage. The style of the new Volkswagen Beetle are cute, sleek, girly, and fun which are all perfect for a girl my age (early twenties). Also, I feel the car handles really well, especially compared to my old car. I always feel in control of the maneuvering of the car. I also feel safe driving the car. Another positive thing about my Volkswagen Beetle is the gas mileage. I am a college student, and frequently travel back and forth from my parents house to the University (about... (more)
Cons
The biggest negative about the car is definitely the fact that I have to sit all the way forwards in the driver's seat (because I'm relatively short) just to be able to push the pedals all the way down, which is necessary because it has a manual transition, so I need to be able to push the clutch all the way in, or I'm unable to switch gears. Because I have to sit all the forward, my knees are right up against the part of the car beneath the steering wheel. This is the only thing about the car that makes me feel unsafe, because I fear that if I get into an accident my knees/legs will be hu... (more)
