I have had it almost three years now. It was a used bank repo car. It handles great on country roads and even better on interstates which is where I usually drive. It gets a combined average 25 MPG. I use 93 octane (premium) fuel, and it seems to get better gas mileage. I haven't had any problems out of this car! It has been a great car and look forward to driving it for another ten years. Just had an oil change, new brakes, motor mounts, tires, and detailed, and it is good as new! I have never had any trouble out of this car! My 2005 Volvo S40 is an excellent car. Story
We love our Volvo S40's sunroof, and on warm days while driving to the supermarket, we open the sunroof. We sing our favorite songs and enjoy the breeze.
Pros
Volvo cars are very safe, and that's the number one reason why I love them and bought one. Safety first as they say! So if you're looking for a safe car, a Volvo is the way to go.
Cons
The maintenance on the car can be expensive. However, it's worth it. If a Volvo is well maintained and serviced properly, it will cut down the maintenance cost.

2005 Volvo S40 - Sharp, powerful, reliable.

The interior is refined, with a graceful "waterfall" central console that is quite unique. In bad weather conditions, this AWD car has never let me down. I've never been stuck in snow, and am completely confident in rain and mud. Heated seats and dual-zone air conditioning take care of any problems I might have with different preferences between me and my passenger. What I don't like: the list is small but significant. The rain sensing windshield wipers aren't as refined as I would prefer. I often change between the sensitivity settings because it's not doing what I want. The biggest gripe I have with th... (more)
