I love the sporty look of the car while having 4 doors. There are several features that I liked such as the built in cooler in the dashboard. It will hold 4 cans but also serves as a great extra catch-all. The lumbar support in the drivers seat is one of my favorite features. I have back issues and this helps while driving.
Story
I won tickets from the radio to see a show in another state. We drove all day to get there for the show that night. We couldn't find a hotel anywhere so we had to sleep in the car that night and drove home the next morning. Actually, it wasn't too bad. Once you lay the front seats back there is plenty of room and considerably comfortable.
Pros
My favorite feature is the adjustable lumbar support in the drivers seat. Since I have back issues this helps ease the pressure on my back from driving long distances. I also really like the extra built in power port for chargers. With it being in the middle arm rest of the front seat it is available to those in the back seat.
Cons
My biggest issue with this car this that it does not have "map" lights. The only interior light is the overhead in the middle of the car. It would be nice to have lights near or on the rear view mirror.

I purchased my 2008 Dodge Avenger in 2009. Since my purchase I have had very few problems with the vehicle and would absolutely be willing to purchase it again. The vehicle has an appealing style, drives great, gets decent gas mileage, has plenty of interior perks, and is an all around nice vehicle. There are very few drawbacks to the vehicle outside of some minor electrical problems which have popped up now and again that can’t be fixed as the cause is difficult to locate. Performance of the vehicle is top notch for its category. I have the six cylinder model and I couldn't be happier with the vehicles ability to get up and go at the press of the gas pedal. Story
I don't have any particularly fun memories involving the car. It has just been more of a functional vehicle than a fun ride.
Pros
The 2008 Dodge Avenger has a number of excellent features. The gas mileage is average to good. I get very solid city and highway mileage. The vehicle design is very nice. While it is incredibly similar in body shape to the Charger, the Avenger seems to have a roomier interior and an absolutely massive trunk that can store a ton of items. The vehicles sound system is very nice. My model has a number of bells and whistle radio features which I have never actually used, but it includes a jack for an audio cord allowing me to hook up my Sirius radio which is honestly the most important interio... Cons
There are a couple cons to this vehicle. The gas mileage is only average. While this is to be expected from a sedan, it would be nice if it was higher. The vehicle has been plagued by a couple electrical issues that have happened once in a while. Several times, the vehicle just flat out stalled while at a red light. This is incredibly infrequent and hasn’t happened in months, but it was easy to recognize that it was about to occur as it would feel like the entire car shuddered a couple seconds prior to stopping at which point it died.
