2010 Dodge Avenger - The car has potential
I'm an avid driver who owns a 2010 Dodge Avenger sxt. It has a sexy design that resembles a Charger and Intrepid hybrid, but don't allow that to fool you. This car can't pass a texter without the tired, emotional engine attracting everyone's attention. Very reliable from 30k-60k miles. The engine is weak, so it burns gas like a 81 Cadillac. The interior makes a good habitat for long distance driving. Comfortability is good, but could be better. The fix: Proper engine size and manual transmission should make this car enjoyable and something to feel good about.
Story
It was extremely reliable through some very frigid winters full of snow and ice.
Pros
Nice rumble in exhaust
Tight muscle car
Good comfortability
reliable
Cons
Weak engine
transmission leak at 40k miles
It has a 4 cylinder
Needs at least a 6 cylinder
2010 Dodge Avenger - I guess it's ok
I really liked the car when I first got it. For about a week I loved it. I just really don't like the fact that it's a car. I prefer an SUV. I feel like I can't see anything when it's raining, even with my headlights on. It's just so low to the ground.
Story
One fun memory is going to Niagara falls with my fiance. It was cold, but it was a good trip.
Pros
I like the way the car looks. The body is decently stylish. I like that my car is black. I love the heated seats, especially with the cloth. I also like that the window controls are on the door, my last car they were on the center console and it bothered me. I like the cooler in the dash, although I haven't used it yet. It is a neat concept. I really like the large touch screen display for the radio. It makes it easy to see everything. I also like the in dash memory for music. It's like an MP3 player in my car that I don't have to remember a device, or have cords hanging around my dash. Fi... (more)
Cons
The thing I dislike the most about this car is that the trunk lid holds water. Whenever it rains, the lid fills up and then if I use the trunk the water pours out on me, or whatever I have in the trunk. I do not like the fact that if I plug a phone charger into the outlet on my dash the airbag light comes on. Sometimes if I plug it into the one in the center console the light comes on but rarely. I also do not like the chrome trim around the shifter. On sunny days, light reflects off of it and blinds me. I also do not like that the radio display does not automatically dim like it says it s...
