My wife and I like this vehicle and bought it because our family was growing. It was a good choice at the time, and we would make it again, but I think we'd get a model with a few more bells and whistles. The SE trim is basic, but it's not uncomfortable. There have been some rattles and it's not a quiet ride, but it's not terrible for taking trips as a family. We just have to plan ahead and set up our own DVD player for the kid and make sure we pack it efficiently.
Story
On a rainy day, we had a picnic by pulling into the park, opening the hatch, and sitting in the back to eat. We've done that more than once and it's always fun.
Pros
The feature we like most about this vehicle is the cargo space. When we bought it, that's one of the things we were looking for. With the seats folded down, we can really pack it in, but with the back seats up, we can pretty easily take a week long trip to the beach with two adults and an infant, and infants need a lot of stuff! There is also plenty of leg room. I'm a taller guy, and it's my primary vehicle. I do most of the family driving, so I need to have some comfort and I've never been uncomfortable driving, even for periods up to 12 hours.
Cons
The top negative thing about this vehicle is it's lack of features. No extras. That's fine by us, but it would be a much better driving experience if it weren't so basic. There are some real rattles and highway driving is not quiet. It's made well enough to not fall apart, but it will never be called luxurious. There was also a recall by Dodge for an ignition something or other. We didn't know it until our car was having major electrical problems. Once we got that taken care of, it runs like a champ.

This SUV has been a nightmare ever since the warranty expired. One thing and then another is constantly going wrong, from the AC going out to the horn and other electrical components shorting out. It's so bad that I can't even sell it to a private party in good conscience. The rear seats are so high that putting my son's car seat in the back means that we cannot see out the back window. But perhaps the best thing is that everything under the hood is incredibly hard to access, almost as if it were designed to make it impossible to fix it yourself.
Story
Driving down to Universal Studios for my son's birthday, with music blasting and plenty of snacks in the car.
Pros
It's very roomy, and the seats are relatively comfortable. The multi-CD changer is a nice addition, as are the hidden floorboard compartments in the back. It includes multiple charging ports and decent visibility, and the gas mileage isn't terrible for an SUV.
Cons
AC goes out every five months, horn has never worked, there is this weird whining sound every time I accelerate now, which started up literally the week after the warranty expired. It's an absolute beast to park, and while some cars can turn or stop on a dime, this is not one of those cars. You need plenty of room to maneuver this monster. The heater is either not on, or blistering hot, there is no in between. It's a four cylinder. That's right, a four-cyl. SUV
