I really love my Dodge Journey. It's a great car because it gives you the seating of an SUV without the horrible gas mileage that an SUV gets. I'm married with four children, so a seven-seater car is a must. I do prefer an eight-seater car, so we have two extra seats instead of just one, but seven seats is still enough for our family plus one extra, so it is a good enough trade-off for us. The gas mileage is much better than large SUVs we've had in the past. It's approximately 15 mpg city and 25 mpg freeway mileage. The ride is smooth, and it drives well. The drivability and comfort are very decent. We enjoy the leather seats and the Sirius XM radio. If I bought another Journey, I'd get one with more of the upgrades (navigation, back-up cameras, back-up sensors, etc.), but even with th... (more)
Story
A fun and memorable story I've had with this vehicle recently is my husband and I taking our children and dogs to a local park that has a pond and ducks, swans, and geese. It's a very large park and a lot of fun for the kids and the dogs alike. We loaded up a picnic lunch in the car along with the kids and other supplies and folded down one of the unused back seats in the third row to allow mo... (more)
Pros
I have many things that I enjoy about my Dodge Journey. I love the fact that it is large enough to seat seven, yet it is much smaller than your typical SUV since it is a crossover vehicle. The gas mileage is very decent compared to other seven-seater vehicles. The leather seats are very nice. The Sirius XM radio is something I absolutely love about this car. The seats are comfortable and fold easily for access to the third row. The drivability is great, the ride is very smooth and this car is easy to drive and gives a smooth ride. It handles and turns easily. It also has a lot of hidden st... (more)
Cons
The only real negative thing about the Dodge Journey is that since it is a crossover and not an SUV, space is a big (no pun intended, lol) issue. It does seat seven, but there isn't much extra room past that. The center console is small, and the seats and rows are all clustered close together. The trunk space is very small, which is typical for an SUV or crossover vehicle. The floor space inside the cabin is very limited. We have four children and two dogs, and when we are all in the car together (me, my husband, all the kids, and both of the dogs), it is a pretty tight squeeze. There isn'... (more)

The Dodge Journey is a reliable car for the price. I have driven it over 120,000 miles now with no issues. Even with high mileage, the car rides smoothly and is very quiet. It also gets great gas mileage -- a bonus for parents who have to take kids to a lot of extracurricular activities. The interior is not very well made, though -- the plastic pieces covering the side of the front seats snaps off often, and the plastic foot kick at the bottom by the doors snaps off as well; the plastic pieces in the interior look and function cheaply. The stereo in the vehicle is amazing, and I love the ability to listen to music from my cell phone or Sirius Radio through the radio. I do wish it had better Bluetooth connection, though, because I always have a hard time getting my Bluetooth devices to ... (more)
Story
There is a drive-in movie theater near my house, and one of the most memorable and fun memories I have is taking my kids to see movies at the drive-in in this vehicle. Because the middle and back row seats fold down, we were able to put a queen-size airbed in the back, and we loved watching movies in the back of the vehicle. The sound from the movie came through the car's stereo and was amazin... (more)
Pros
The most positive thing about this vehicle is that it can carry much more cargo than what it looks like it could handle; the middle and back rows fold down, providing ample cargo room. The car also gets really good gas mileage and is very reliable. I haven't had to make any repairs to the vehicle even with high mileage.
Cons
The most negative thing about the vehicle is that, being a passenger car, it doesn't seat too many passengers very well. It is almost impossible to sit in the back row if you are an adult. The interior of the car is also cheaply made; and while the motor has held up after 120,000 miles, the plastic interior pieces have not.
