Fabulous, family vehicle.
I traded up from a Mazda Tribute to my 2012 Dodge Journey. It is not a typical SUV; in truth, it handles more like a sedan. After over 60,000 miles though, I am totally satisfied with my purchase. It is quiet on the highway; I've driven it on several multi-day road trips, and it's the most comfortable trip car I've owned. The seats, while not luxurious in upholstery or advance settings, are comfortable enough that I feel refreshed even after 5+ hours of driving. Even on hilly roads, I get 25-30 mpg on the highway, around 20 in the city. Its controls for the A/C and heater took a little getting used to as many settings are on the touchscreen, but it was easy to acclimatize myself. The settings for lane departure alarms, whether to honk the horn when locking the doors, and how long to leave the headlights on are all easily manipulated via the touchscreen as well. I am happy with the third-row seats, which are spacious enough for a medium-sized adult, though not for a long trip. I truthfully purchased the model with third-row seating for the separate back seat climate controls; it makes it so convenient to allow my daughter to set her climate without having to change mine up front. It was a feature not easily found in this size SUV. Overall, I find the Dodge Journey to be the most spacious midsize SUV I've encountered, and I am completely satisfied with my purchase five years later.

A great family vehicle!
I moved to this vehicle from a midsized SUV and I have to say I enjoy driving this one more than my old vehicle. It is high enough for visibility without feeling like it will tip over when I turn at speed. The interior is well-designed, with all controls being in logical places and plenty of storage spaces throughout the vehicle. The mirrors are large and make it easy to back up and change lanes. Settings are easily changed via the touchscreen, such as headlight duration after shutoff, honking or silent door locks, Bluetooth connectivity, and lane change alarms.
