I own a red 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 base model pick up truck. This has been the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. Always starts when I need it to. I have never had any trouble with the motor. Everything about this vehicle is trustworthy from starting every time to never draining the battery. Only thing I have never liked about it was the plastic trimming on the body. I removed that for aesthetic purpose only.
Story
I took the truck off road once out in Pleasure Island, which is apart of Port Arthur, Texas. While I was out there, a buddy and I decided to try to go as fast as we could without stopping over the top of this sand pit. We didn't realize that this sand pit was really a mud pit underneath the sand. Soon, as we got about 50 feet into it, the truck just stopped, and we were stuck. The tire's spinn... (more)
Pros
The powerful reliable engine is what I love the most about this truck. Also, other than the routine maintenance on this truck, there is not many time I have ever worked on it. Also, when I did have to do more than routine maintenance, it was because of things breaking due to age and not because the truck was made cheaply.
Cons
Top negative thing about this is only the dash in these trucks tends to break and fall apart after a few years of the sun hitting it. Also, the driver side seat tends to wear faster.

My last truck broke down recently and this was my friends truck. She had it for sale for only 1500. It looked great, and it looked stylish. It was a cheap price and just what I was looking for. The seating does look a little rough. I don't think I would replace these sears as it seems the truck still needs quite a bit more work under the hood.
Story
No personal memories as of yet. its only been a month or so and I'm starting to create memories or at least wanting to.
Pros
This truck is very rugged. It came with a ball and hitch so I can pull my trailer with ease. I have a lawn business so pulling all my equipment is mandatory. It is always easy to start. It looks stylish, not out dated. This particular truck is not an automatic which I would have preferred but this shifting system is easy to use and get used to.
Cons
The biggest negative on this truck is the gas mileage I guess. its not the greatest, but what truck isn't? It gets about 15 miler per gallon. Sometimes less depending on how much I am pulling or how far of a distance I plan to drive. I do see a lot of cracking starting to happen on the dash but I don't think its too bad considering the year of the truck.
