This car is great. I bought this car a few years back as a retired under cover police car. It had many miles on it already at the time of purchase. I have used it for vacation and work and school travel. This car has held up longer than any other car I have owned
Historia
I took this car on a long trip with my husband for our 1st year anniversary that was 200 miles away. This car never gave any problems
A Favor
Pros: great car even with so many miles put onto it. Great for long drives and for vacation. Very comfortable and easy on bumpy roads. Can drive for long periods without getting fatigued as fast. This car has power and is fast. I have gotten many compliments on this car as it looks very nice and is comfortable. Trunk can hold so much luggage and is great for travel and trips to the airport and I have also driven this car from los angeles to new york and back.
En Contra
Cons: even though this is a great car for driving it does take some getting used to. This car is very wide and the front end is very long. When pulling into a busy street I have to go halfway to see oncoming traffic and by that time this cars front end is already half way out in the street that it is useless and even dangerous to look for oncoming cars. Parking this car into a tight space is a bit of a struggle as I have to try numerous times to get the car to fit and be straight in a parking spot.

My 2000 Ford Crown Victoria is a tank of a family sedan. Weighing in at about 4500lbs with a 4.6l v8, the car is very comfortable and spacious while not being sluggish. Everyone that gets in the car is amazed at the amount of leg room even in the back seats while the front seats are almost all of the way back. It is surely much larger than the back seat of your average family sedan. Also, the trunk is massive. It can hold tons of firewood for giant beach bonfires, full pallets, long skateboards, anything you can throw at it. Crown Victories are known for their liability as a stable platform for police cars and other fleets. This, is what many people know my car as your police car. Now, mine was never a police car, it is the civilian version and always has been, but that never stops the... (more)

On fun story I have is when I was going through a McDonalds drive through one night. As I pulled up to the window, there was a man standing by the door. The look on this man's face was priceless when I pulled up to the window (he was smoking weed). I almost died laughing as he tried to hold in the smoke and put the blunt down by his side. This sparked quite a conversation about the car a few m... (more)
A Favor
My favorite feature of the car has to be all of the room that the car has, as well as the look on people's faces when you drive by in a white Crown Vic with a big antenna on the top wearing a black polo and they think you may be a cop. I have plenty stories of these experiences. Reliability of the crown Vic seems to be outstanding as well *knock on wood* although it does have some commonly known issues.
En Contra
The plastic intake manifold on the 4.6l engine of the crown Victoria is known to crack as mine has done. This causes the car to leak radiator fluid. At a $1000 parts and labor fix, this can be quite an issue. If you are mechanically inclined, you may find the parts for about $200, but then you have to spend a whole day working on it, something I'll probably end up doing myself. Besides this issue, the only other real issue is that the car is a heavy car and gas mileage isn't the best. Also, the car doesn't sport much technology as it is approaching 20 years old.

I bought this car because it was in great shape...And it has continued to be in very good overall shape. The paint still looks great, the interior is in great shape as well. The interior upholstery still looks immaculate and the trim is still as shiny as ever! What I liked when I first drove it is the speed and overall torque. It is able to drive smoothly but also if you need to accelerate fast it has really got some speed. Mine has a V-8 engine so I thought it would use a lot of fuel but it actually gets good mileage. The handling is terrific, it corners well for such a big car and it can really get into places you would not think it could for the size of the car. It has airbags so that makes me feel a lot safer driving around with my family in it. It is also solid so I feel like in c... (more)

People always joke I could fit 3 bodies in the trunk, its pretty funny.
A Favor
Handling is great, corners like a small car even though its not little. Good mileage for gasoline despite V-8 engine and size of vehicle. Large trunk space and roomy interior to transport people and luggage. Safety features like airbags and safety glass, seat belts and hazard lights. Low maintenance and high reliability of vehicle engine and systems. I really like the cruise control which is very handy on the highway to keep you at a moderate speed. The upholstery is nice and does not get too hot or sticky in hot weather like leather or vinyl can do. I feel safe in the vehicle because of... (more)
En Contra
I don't really like the stock radio, as it is very difficult to program. I wish they had just installed a regular radio or nice CD player. The speakers are ok but they don't sound the best. There is not really much I did not like about the car, except the radio. But there is one other thing I do not like is the rear defrost. When it is on the radio signal will not come in hardly at all and that is not fun when all you have is the radio but it is cold outside and you need to run the defroster on the back window. The bumper is also so kind of hardened plastic which I wish they just made it c... (more)
