Used Ford Escort for Sale

My car is really good. This performance is really good and convenient compared to my last car.

I have not had any major problems since this car was purchased 5 years ago. Cars have come and gone in my family while this one remains. Gas mileage could be a little better. Interior is durable and shows minimal wear. The ride is smooth, and its never broken down.

The Escort hatchback is a cute car. Mine is dark grey with a black interior. It has all the tilts and swings, including an "instant" MPG, two trip odometers, at least four (?) USB ports, and hooks up to my iPhone. The trunk area is roomy, the passenger areas are big enough for my family, and, up until recently, I loved it. When I bought it, the car dealer told me that from his knowledge, Escorts had problems with the transmission. I didn't really think about it, but there had been times when it seemed to hang in first-to-second or shudder. Nothing I can't live with. However, just a few days ago, I got a big red transmission alert. It went away after I stopped the car, turned the ignition off and back on. Now I am left wondering if this is going to be a problem in the future. Final conclusion: if the transmission is actually okay, then the Escort is a great car. If it's not...I will not be happy paying big bucks to repair the trannie on a 2.5 year old car.
