2013 Ford Flex - Love my Flex
When I went to the car dealership, I had full intentions of buying another SUV, Maybe it was nostalgia for the station wagons I grew up with, but my eyes were immediately drawn to the flex. I'm six feet tall so I loved the roominess and comfort of the driving seat, better yet I have two teen age boys who cannot sit next to each other without fighting and the flex had a third row of seats. Love the fact that the two back rows can go down, for those times you need to carry stuff home from home Depot. The flex is very easy getting in and out of. It's not to low to the ground so its comparable to a full size car with entering and exiting. My short and elderly family members love the fact they don't have to climb up to get in and out. If a bunch of us are going out we can fit 8 people in the car. My kids love the fact that there are rear controls for heater and AC. It doesn't seem to be a real popular car, don't think ford has ever really advertised that much so its rare to see on the road another one, This translates into very easy to spot in a parking lot! Now the flex won't win any awards for being pretty on the inside its more a family car where kids get muddy shoes on the floor and yes the occasional French fry or spilt drink. I do get a lot of people asking about the car when I'm in parking lots etc.
What a great car to take to the beach for the day, Can throw all the chairs and umbrellas into the back with no problem and the best thing is on the way home when everyone tired and grumpy enough room to spread out.

Great car for transporting the kids, carrying sports equipment or road trips. Plenty of room for the kids and luggage.

If the kids role the windows down in second seat, makes an awful sound in the car.

2013 Ford Flex - Very happy with it!
I did quite a bit of research on this vehicle before I ever set foot on a car lot. I looked at everything from the safety ratings to the general maintenance. I knew this was what I wanted. It has great safety ratings, which is important to me because I'm driving my 1 year old daughter around in it. It is stylish, sleek, different from other vehicles on the market, good fuel economy, comfortable seats, quiet and smooth ride and tons of room! The general maintenance is pretty easy and affordable. We have already taken it on several road trips and it is very comfortable. Plus we had room for bags for 4 people, a stroller, toys, and tons of presents on the way back! I love the air vents in each row of seats. I can have it cool up front and I can have it warmer in the back for my daughter. ... (more)

I am a funeral director and if I ever needed to, I could pick up my clients in the back! It's really a multipurpose vehicle! I would definitely recommend this vehicle to people looking for a family vehicle. It's great!
I loaded up my daughter, my husband and a family friend and took our first road trip to California for my daughter's birthday. It was very memorable!

Comfortable seats, radio controls on the steering wheel, tons of room, easy to drive, decent fuel economy for its size.

2009 Ford Flex - Very comfortable and spacious.
The Ford Flex is very roomy -- there is seating for 6 adults with the 3rd-row seating. The LTD version I have has an easy-to-navigate row between the chairs in the 2nd row, making it very easy to get to the 3rd row. You don't have to put seats up to get to the rear of the vehicle. All of the rear seats lay flat to give you a lot of cargo room. It sits on a F250 frame so imagine an F250 bed with a top on it. There are plenty of creature comforts as well. The remote start and seat warmers on the front 4 seats are very nice in cold temperatures. Having the vehicle started and the A/C blowing in hot summers is a plus as well. The touchscreen is large and easy to read. You won't be distracted from the road trying to see where you next turn is. A trick some don't realize is that map updates ... (more)

A trick some don't realize is that map updates can be done for free by downloading the files to a USB drive and loading them via the USB port in the front console. The fuel efficiency is average for a vehicle that size -- typically 22-25 mpg highway. It will tow over 5,500 pounds as well. The Flex can be a little pricey, but it's money well spent.
My girlfriend, her kids, and I loaded the Flex up with gear to spend a day at the lake fishing. We had more than enough room for chairs, coolers, tackle, rods, etc. We had a fun day catching fish and weren't crammed on the trip to or from the lake.

Reduced mpg due to size, and the long body makes it difficult to parallel park for some people.
