2004 Ford F-250 Super Duty - Great Truck
My 2004 F250 SD 6.0L power stroke has by far been the best vehicle I have owned in my life. I've always had either junk cars or small trucks and this Ford was the first vehicle I had that I actually love and take good care of. This truck has all the power you need when it comes to pulling campers and trailers. Many people have told me the 6.0L has a history of problems but I have over 175,000 miles on it and it still runs like the day I drove it off the lot. I didn't buy the truck new, I bought it with around 110,000 miles but throughout the 65,000 miles that I've put on it there really haven't been any problems to speak of other than normal wear and tare. Such as, oil changes, tires, filters, batteries, alternator, etc. The body is in great shape with minimal rust. Only rust I can fi... (more)

Such as, oil changes, tires, filters, batteries, alternator, etc. The body is in great shape with minimal rust. Only rust I can find on the body is inside the rear wheel wells, but this is common for most vehicles of this age. I like that this vehicle has tons of room on the inside since it is a crew cab and rides very nicely. I've towed campers with it upwards of 10,000lbs and it towed them great. Not one problem. The only downfall of the truck is that with gas prices up high nowadays and with me getting only around 14 or 15 miles per gallon, diesel burns right through it. Other than that I really don't have much to complain about. Also, you can fit 3 full sized dirt bikes in the back of the 6.5Ft bed. I've done it many times before I finally purchased myself a trailer.
I believe it was 2 years ago I went to a motocross track named Miles Mountain Motocross located in Elkland Pa. I didn't have a camper at the time or a tent so me and my dog both had to sleep in the back seat of the truck for 2 nights straight. I can honestly say that I actually did sleep well and the back seat had more room than I expected for me and my golden retriever.

The best part about this vehicle is that it has a crew cab which makes riding inside of it very comfortable especially if you have a family. I've only sat in the back seat a couple times but when you are back there it has more room than any other vehicle that I have ever been in and is very comfortable and plenty of leg room even with the front seats all the way towards the back. I've even had to sleep in the back seat and believe it or not it is quite comfortable and roomy in case of have to. Another great thing about this truck is the fact that it is a 2004 and it has hardly any rust to speak of. The only rust that I can find is under the rear wheel wells, which is very common for this old of a vehicle. I've ridden in many different trucks and have owned different makes and models and this truck is the most comfortable to ride it both in the smoothness of the leaf springs working and the roominess of the cab. Also, it has a sun roof which keeps the kids occupied while going on long trips.
The big negative about this vehicle is the fact that it likes to guzzle some diesel. This is common for this size of vehicle but at around 14 mpg, the diesel sure adds up and drains the wallet in a hurry. Another negative I would have to say is the cost of the tires. I seem to go through tires faster than normal even with a routine tire rotation and I don't do any purposefully burn outs but the tires don't seem to last as long as they should and at around $200 a pop, this cost sure adds up quick. I think another con which really doesn't bother me any, would be the looks of the interior on the dashboard and head unit. They almost seem a bit old fashioned, but I guess it is a 2004. I put a different head unit in with a 7.5 Inch screen that includes a back up camera. That helped a bit with the old fashioned look. One con that I've heard a lot about for this vehicle is that they eat through turbos and at around $1200 that would hurt me for sure, but mine, knock on wood, hasn't had any problems when it comes to the turbo. Cross my fingers that it stays that way. Those are all the cons that I can think of mainly due to this truck being a very reliable and powerful truck.
2004 Ford F-250 Super Duty - Best Heavy Duty Truck Ever
My F-250 was the biggest truck I had ever driven. It has been to the snow, mud and back country roads. It's durability and reliability have been amazing. All power windows, locks, chairs, sun roof still work which out lasted my 2004 Expedition. It has 140,000 miles and recently had a blown head gasket. We did have to replace the alternators 5 times along with batteries but otherwise between oil changes and regular maintenance has been the best truck yet!

Driving in the snow with the kids to go sledding.

All power buttons still work and besides a few issues of repairs it has been pretty reliable.

The blown head gasket and replacing the alternator multiple times was a big con but thankfully my husband was able to change them. If we had paid a dealership to fix these things, we would have sold the truck because it just wouldn't be worth the cost to fix at mechanic.

2011 Ford F-250 Super Duty - Love My Ford
I purchased my Ford F250 Super Duty used, but it had been previously owned by an older gentleman who took very good care of it. The truck has a silver color that is really nice to look at, and the interior matches very well. We were concerned about future children in the back seat, but the rear seat is roomy enough that we shouldn't have any problems at all. I love the massive, chrome grille on the front end of the truck because it adds so much visibility. We've had no issues getting any new parts we needed, which have been minimal.

The funniest story I have about the truck was when we were traveling a longer distance with our dogs and hedgehog. The truck has a huge visibility rating, not only with the grille but also with just how imposing and large it is, which is something I enjoy. Ford picked colors that were easy to match when we were looking to get a topper for our truck. The interior is pretty bare bones, but that wasn't an issue at all. The gas mileage for the diesel is actually relatively good and we love taking the truck on many of our trips.

I think the only negative issue I had with the truck was that it was hard to find the paint code when I got a scratch and needed to touch it up. I ended up having to go online and google it because I was unable to find it.
