Strong, reliable and easy to maintain.
The Ford Crown Victoria is a great car if you are looking for something that can drive like new even when it has higher miles. With it having been widely used for taxis and police cars, there are many inexpensive parts readily available. The big engine and space under the hood makes the car easy to work on. I live in a major city and have driven through many pot holes, but the heavy duty police rims can take a beating. I also had driven it for a rideshare company on a full-time basis and didn't have any mechanical problems. I was driving it ten to 12 hours out of the day and never experienced a lack of performance. My riders would often comment on how spacious and comfortable the car is. When people would have luggage, it would always fit comfortably, as the trunk is enormous. The car is very big compared to what is on the road, however I am six foot five inches tall, so this vehicle is a good fit for me. I like its basic yet official look. It does not accelerate too fast, but that is fine with me. Although it can drive comfortably at high speeds. I don't feel a difference in handling whether I am driving at fifty five miles per hour or ninety five miles per hour. I found out that with the police models, the front seats are stab proof. This feature will not do me any good, but it is a cool detail that I can tell people. I drive a 2003, and have put about 80,000 miles on it since I originally purchased the car in 2014. It had 66,000 miles on it when I purchased it. Lastly, there are not carpets in the police interceptor version. I like that it has plastic floors as I tend to spill things.

The car is unstoppable. I'm at 263,000 miles and have had no engine issues and very minimal issues overall. The car is extremely dependable, and even at over 250,000 miles, it runs smoothly. I trust the car to not leave me stranded. The car isn't luxurious at all; however, that isn't what I was looking for when I bought the car. I was looking for a dependable, roomy car that was inexpensive, and the Crown Vic fit the bill.
