Great versatile vehicle
The 2011 Ford Escape is vastly different from our 2001 and 2008 Ford Escape. The vehicle is small enough to fit into our 2 car garage, with another vehicle and my husband's work bench. The car is comfortable enough for larger person to sit comfortably for a long road trip. Due to my desire to have heated seats, we had to purchase the top model, but warm seats on a cold winter's day is worth it.

The Ford Escape midsize SUV.
What I like about my vehicle is the size of it. It is an SUV, however, a relatively small one, so it is very easy to get into smaller parking spots. The limited trim comes with a back up camera that pops up in the rearview mirror. This is a very unique feature and not something I have seen on other vehicles. In eight years of ownership I have not had too many problems with the car. I had one tire pressure sensor go out, one replaceable recall, and another recall that was not recommended for replacement. However within the past year the backup camera in the car has deteriorated and does not always work, sometimes the picture is cut in half, sometimes it just shows a blank screen, and sometimes it works perfectly. It really is a hit or miss with the camera, but the backup sensors have never failed me and helped me time and time again. The gas mileage on the car is not too bad I drive the car everyday and fill up once a week, averaging around 18-20 miles per gallon with a 13 gallon tank. The side view mirrors also have blind spot mirrors on them which is a very nice safety feature that I enjoy and since having I could not be without.

Thankful.
The Ford Escape itself is a wonderful vehicle. I, unfortunately, bought a bad vehicle from a horrible dealer. The SUV brand and type is a fantastic car and would totally recommend it; however, my actual vehicle has had many issues with it which is why I've given it a bad rating above. The vehicle itself is not oversized, making it easy to get in and out of a parking spot but is big enough to hold everything I need. From car seats, animals, groceries, summer beach items, you name it and we've been able to fit in it. The side airbags make it nice to know we are a little more protected. The latch system is fantastic when picking up my young niece and nephew and needing their car seats. I do wish the engine was a little faster as it takes a bit for the car to get moving when stopped at a light. My last Escape was super faster and had a better engine so this new one is a bit disappointing.
