Gets you from point A to B
I previously owned a smaller car so I'm a bit conflicted on the size. Driving-wise I find it a bit too large for my tastes. That said, it's nice to have the room for shopping trips. I wish we had the ability to knock down the back seats to have even more room for larger items. For instance, right now we're looking into buying a 55" television, and I don't think it will fit in the car, which is a pain. We might have been able to fit it in if we could knock down those seats. Otherwise the car's fine. We've had to put in about $3,000 since we got it, which has been a pain. The blower for the AC went, and we had to replace a bunch of stuff. I don't know what system of the car you would call it, but it involved rotors, tie rods, etc. The brakes were replaced and some other things that I just can't remember now. I guess it's not the worst amount you have to put into a car, but it's not smooth sailing either. It doesn't help when you don't have a trustworthy mechanic. It drives well though and is otherwise decent. I think it's average when it comes to gas usage. We don't go out much, so we don't spend much on gas anyways. It's very comfortable to just sit in it. I think the interior, etc., is about average as well. I think it's an average, big car. It's not as big as a '79 Bonneville though! So all-in-all I'd say it's an average car.

Good car.
The Ford Taurus is a solid choice for the drivers who are in the market for a large sedan. Its comfortable ride and exceptional crash protection makes it a recommended choice for families. When equipped with the optional AWD system, the Taurus becomes a dependable performer on snow-packed roads. Check out the powerful SHO model if you yearn for a more engaging driving experience.
