I am in love with my Hyundai Accent. I decided to get the gray hatchback option because I thought it fit my style. The car has great acceleration, even after two years. I find that I'm able to accelerate faster than most cars I come across. I take the car to the mechanic about three or four times a year, and each time nothing has been wrong. I'm told by my mechanic that the car engine (and other internal parts) are working at top performance. I have never had a breakdown with this vehicle; it is very reliable. It's also a very quiet vehicle. There's not much sound when you drive, accelerate, or even when you park! Sometimes I forget the car is on if I'm sitting and parked. I think the interior is attractive and simple. The radio is pretty standard but efficient. I haven't had ... (more)

I think one of the most fun things I did with my vehicle was take it to the drive-in. Me, my son, and boyfriend all took my car to go to the drive-in to watch Cars (the movie). My car has back seats that fold down, so it was very relaxing to watch movies while laying in the back seat.
Pros
There are a lot of positive things about my Hyundai Accent. One of my favorite features would be the slim design of the hatchback. It's big enough to fit five people comfortably. There is enough leg room for tall people and enough room for me to fit a proper car seat. With another child being planned for the future, I think this car is the perfect size for my family even though it seems small. I also remember a time I bought a brand new 65" TV. I was able to drive the TV home after fitting it in my trunk by folding the seat down (hopefully that tells you the car looks small but can fi... (more)
Cons
The original tires were not great, but that's expected with a new vehicle. The other negative thing I found with this vehicle was gas mileage. It's not terrible on gas, but with the vehicle's size, you'd think that the car would be better on gas. Another negative would be that this vehicle has a simple radio. The radio definitely seems to be newer, but there isn't much you can do on it. I've seen some newer radios that are touchscreen or can respond to voice, but the one that came with the Hyundai was pretty standard.

Owning a Hyundai Accent turned out to be a surprising cost-efficient dream come true. The car looks like many high-end sedans that are on the market currently, but the car comes with a price tag that will leave you wondering how you got such a great car for such a great price. The car is very reliable and durable. I had the car moved cross country from California to Virginia on a flat bed truck, and when it arrived, the car was working great. The car has working A/C, heating, plenty of storage space, stereo speakers, a built-in CD player and even a standard usb port for plugging and playing mp3s from your portable music devices, such as your cellphone.
Story
I enjoy driving this car thru wooded back roads, on rainy days or in the snow, while taking my kids traveling to the local parks or to the grocery store. I've seen deer run across the road, groundhogs, and countless Canadian geese. The kids always want to know what each animal is, and I enjoy spending the drive talking about nature and our place in it.
Pros
The car has great gas mileage. On a typical week, I would spend about 20 dollars in gas. My wife's car of a similar make and model would cost closer to 30 dollars a week, and I drove further then her on average. It's very easy to operate. It contains a number of manual options that give the driver a sense of control over the entire automobile. Great for new drivers or drivers on a budget that find luxury cars with luxury prices intimating. Since the car doesn't carry the weighted price tag, I never had to concern myself with the idea of theft or vandalism, and my insurance company always g... (more)
Cons
If you're looking for a car with cutting edge GPS technology, auto parking, camera guidance or AI, this car isn't going to do it for you. This car is also not electric and may not perform to the liking of those who are eco minded. Overall, this car does its job but isn't shouting out for attention. If you're looking for a car to turn heads, this car isn't going to do that.
