A Nissan Sentra is a great commuter car for those looking for a car to travel with. This car served me one purpose which was to take me to and from school. It does come with a lot of problems but, beyond that, has served it purpose. I liked that it was good on gas and was very small but roomy. I hated that it came with so much problems as the years went on.
Story
I drove to Southern California in it. It was a summer road trip and we had a good time. There was no problems with the car and the air conditioning was blasting the whole time.
Pros
The top thing about this car is that it is good on gas. It ranged from 27 to 30 miles per gallon and has 12 gallon of tank. I used it for school and it lasted all 4-6 years of college. I also liked that it was small so any problems could be solved if you're handy with cars. I am still riding this car and it has it's ups and downs but nothing beats the miles per gallons that the car has.
Cons
The interior of the car broke really easily during the summer heat of California. It had problems with a bunch of the sensors and CPU so it would shut down automatically. Windshield had to be replaced twice because it broke so easily. it is probably because the way the car was shaped. The paint of the car also wore out pretty easily in the sun.

The Nissan Sentra was an attempt by the Japanese company to cash in on the sport compact craze, and they did a fantastic job of it. With low entry prices, a sport tuned suspension and brakes, a 2.5 liter V4, 6 speed transmission with LSD, the Sentra does a great job as a poor man's racecar. Not "blow the doors off" fast but fun to drive, gets up and goes, and great in the twistys.
Story
Got pulled over on my birthday doing 30 over and got a verbal warning :)
Pros
I've had the car for 5 years, 3 owner vehicle. In that time I put 30k miles on it and never had to do a cent of work other then routine maintenance. Starts every time cold or hot ( and here in Colorado that can range from -30 to 110 ) , shifts great, and is so fun to drive. Available in a number of sporty and eye catching colors. Awesome gas mileage, even when you are rodding on it.
Cons
We moved last year and this was the only vehicle we had to use so it took about 195 trips to move everything. Not tons of cargo space. Doesn't do very well off-road.
